It is no secret that for many people the three letters of the Airborne Forces remain a mystery to this day. History of creation
Officially in our state, the Airborne Troops appeared on August 2, 1930. It was on the indicated date that the first parachute landing was used at the exercises of the Air Force near Voronezh. In the rear of a conditional enemy, 12 people came down to earth from heaven, armed with rifles, machine guns and other ammunition. By and large, then the abbreviation of the Airborne Forces appeared, the decoding of which is simple and understandable to almost everyone.
Pre-war troop path
The paratroopers were actively involved before the start of World War II. So, during the Soviet-Finnish war, two hundred and first, two hundred and fourth, two hundred and fourteenth airborne units fought on the front lines, the soldiers of which made swift passages to the rear of the enemy, destroying its units, headquarters, warehouses, communication centers, and strong points. To this day, the abbreviation of the Airborne Forces (deciphering it is a very simple matter) inspires fear among many foreign military personnel.
Landing in Russia
Officially, this type of force was recorded in 1992. At the time of 2015, the paratroopers included 45, 000 troops. The structure of the landing involves the presence of three main components:
- air assault;
- airborne parachute;
- mountain assault landing.
