For his career, he was awarded many awards, including: the Emergencies Ministry medal "For participation in international humanitarian operations", the medal of the Space Agency Through Thorns to the Stars Space Agency. Alexey Samoletov is a laureate of the prize for the international confederation of journalists “For courage and professionalism” and a holder of the order “For personal courage”. Alexey Samoletov is a native of the city of Novosibirsk. He was born on September 10, 1963. While still very young, Alex began to be interested in art. At the age of four, the boy became a member of a children's program on local television. Aleksey Samoletov notes that his parents always tried to satisfy his craving for knowledge, therefore there were no forbidden topics for conversation. Studying in the fourth grade, Lesha seriously became interested in poetry.

And it was explained simply: at home there was just a “fantastic” library. The boy spent his free time reading books. In his youth, Alexey Samoletov was also interested in art. Among his favorite artists was Leonardo da Vinci. By the fourth grade, the future director could already read poetry with expression, so he often went to all kinds of contests, shows, festivals. Alexey was the owner of a clear voice, and this gift could not help but be noticed by others: the boy began to invite to comment on the Golden Puck hockey championships.

Choice of profession

It is no wonder that Aleksey Eduardovich Samoletov, after receiving a certificate of maturity, decided to go to the directors. He wanted to study not elsewhere, but at VGIK.

But, unfortunately, he did not get to this university. The fact is that young boys who had just graduated from school were not accepted for directing at VGIK for fundamental reasons: they needed people with a certain life experience.

Work as an actor

One way or another, but Alexei Samoletov, whose biography is certainly interesting and noteworthy, did not become upset due to failure with VGIK. He enters the Novosibirsk Theater School and ends up in the studio of Lev Belov. Soon he was invited to work as an intern in a local youth theater. In parallel with this, the young man works as a presenter on television, becoming the main person of such programs as “On the Student Wave” and “Student Meridian”. By the time he graduated from the theater university, Samoletov Alexey Eduardovich had already played in nine productions of the Youth Theater.

In the period from 1983 to 1985, the novice lyceum sits in the chair of the artistic director and at the same time becomes the director of the Novosibirsk Theater of Facial Expressions and Gesture.

In 1987, he began serving at the local Red Torch Drama Theater.

Alexey Samoletov, whose photo was often decorated with theater posters, showed his acting talent in films, starring in a huge number of feature films. In 1967, he played a major role in the film "Do not lose the banner." Then there were vivid works in films: “Holy of Holies”, “Wedding”, “Crane Song”, “Our 90s”, “Bachelors”.

Gradually, in the minds of Alexei Samoletov there was a change in professional priorities. He became more interested in journalism and television work. In 1989, Samoletov terminated the contract with the theater and got a job in the youth editorial office of the local television studio. His debut position on the blue screen is an assistant director. Then he successfully passed the entrance exams to Altai State University, choosing the faculty of journalism.

In 1990, Alexei Samoletov creates the author's information program "Panorama", being both its host. Also on local television, he acts as a director of sports programs. Over time, the brainchild of Samoletov turned into a powerful resource, which was perhaps the only objective source of information in the regions of Siberia, Altai and the Far East. After such a triumph on television, Alexey was invited to work as a freelance correspondent for the Vesti program on the federal television channel Russia.

Career goes up

In 1992, he finally joined the ranks of the journalists of the RTR television channel, becoming the correspondent of the Novosibirsk region. After some time, he is already a commentator on Vesti. Before this appointment, he had to visit many "hot spots": Chechnya, Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Dagestan. Together with the Ministry of Emergencies, he eliminates the consequences of emergency situations in a number of regions.

For more than ten years Aleksey Samoletov was military commissar, alternately holding the positions of consultant, executive producer, chief editor of the federal Vesti. In addition, he creates another author’s project - “World on the Edge” and becomes its leader.

From 2005 to 2008, the journalist was invited to work as a senior lecturer in the courses “Fundamentals of Production” and “Journalism”, which are organized at the Higher National School of Television of the University of Culture.

In 2007, Alexei was offered to take the post of chief editor of the print publication JET-Media, as well as to stand at the helm of the JET magazine. He accepts this offer. Together with the crew of the ISS Alpha, he worked in an atmosphere of artificially created zero gravity. Aircraft created and showed the viewer about 97 documentaries. One of his last significant works is the project "Ruslan, which united the world." This movie is about how the Ruslan transport aircraft appeared. This documentary was presented at the New York Film and Television Festival.
