The fourth largest bank in Bashkiria, the RBD (short name for the Regional Development Bank), ingloriously died at the end of last year, that is, it was declared bankrupt. Bank History
RBD was established in 1993. Known by its former names as the Bashkir Railway Bank and Orlan Bank. The organization was a significant player both in the regional financial market and beyond. The young banker expressed extremely pathos about his participation in the management of the structure: he compared the bank to a horse that had been wrongly fed before and instead of being able to participate in competitions was forced to drag a cart. In July 2015, the order of the National Bank of Bashkortostan, which regulates banking activities in the region, was sent to the RBD. With this letter, the bank undertook to release Anton Pavlovich Astakhov from the duties of a member of the Board of Directors of the RBD within 60 days. In January 2013, the media reported that a human rights organization had sent an appeal to Francois Hollande, President of France, with a request to ban Pavel Astakhov from entering the country where he visited very often. This was due to the advocate's support for the complete ban on the adoption of Russian orphans by American citizens.
His eldest son, Anton, graduated from an American school, then decided to study economics in Oxford and London. After some time, he again went to America, after which he returned to Moscow, where he began working in the stock market. In an interview, Astakhov Jr. told reporters that he was helping his father in his work. But he is not going to become a lawyer, unless he will ever have to defend himself in court.
At home, Anton Astakhov demonstrated the remarkable talent of a businessman. The Magistrate’s Court adjourned the hearing of the case against Astakhov’s son three times. One of the reasons was allegedly hospitalization, as evidenced by the fax of a medical company. As it became known to reporters, this company specialized in … abortion. As a result, Astakhov Jr. was deprived of his driver’s license for six months.
