The beginning of the way
Denis Anatolyevich Karasev was born on 01/08/1963 in the Estonian city of Sillamae. He grew up a very active boy, in addition to school, attended various sports sections and a music school, as he had a wonderful hearing by nature.
He decided in childhood what he wants to become in the future. After school, Denis decided to leave for Moscow and try his hand at one of the best institutes of theatrical art (GITIS). He did it. A young, ambitious guy was able to do, despite a big competition.
Theatre
In 1985, Denis received a diploma and entered the Taganka Theater with director Anatoly Efros, where he was involved in many performances. But for a long time he did not stay in this theater - he was taken into the army.
When Karasev returned, his director Anatoly Efros was not alive, and the actor decided to go to Lenkom, where Mark Zakharov invited him. Denis Anatolyevich gained experience, he then began to direct performances.

In the late eighties, many Russian directors noticed that his appearance has a pronounced texture, drew attention to his high growth and began to call the theater actor for various roles in the cinema.
He began to play gloomy, but very strong in spirit and body people who could very well commit murders. Initially, he played only criminals.
The first movie in which the actor played - “Another”, released on screens in 1989. The following year, the actor played in the same film with the famous actress Elena Yakovleva. In the 90s, Denis played many main characters, in the early 2000s he began to be invited more to secondary roles.
The filmography of Denis Karasev currently has more than fifty roles in TV shows and feature films. Throughout his film career, the actor played mostly negative characters, but this did not upset him.

His wife's name is Karina Zolotova, she was also an actress. The couple have been together for over thirty years.
Young people met on the street, and Denis was very surprised that Karina was his colleague. At that time, Karasev was already a graduate of GITIS, and the girl was in her second year at the Shchukin school.
Denis admitted that marriage to two actors is very difficult. Karina eventually left the acting field and is now just a wife, mother and grandmother. In one project, Denis and Karina were never involved.
The name of Denis Karasev’s son is Daniel, he is now about 29 years old, a lawyer by profession, he is happily married and has a daughter named Elechka.
Karasev said that Daniel was never particularly interested in the films in which his father starred, he loved the action movies with Schwarzenegger more.
Seeing his brutal physique, many believe that the actor is intensely involved in sports, but this is not true. Once, the "movie villain" admitted that he practically does not engage in sports, it is enough for him that he trained a lot in his youth.
Denis bought an apartment in the capital, solved the problems with the housing of his mother and son, but did not build a country house. As Karasev himself admits, he never wanted him, since the Moscow Region does not really like him. But she loves to travel, especially to relax on the beach. But most of all, Denis loves his job, especially if he comes across interesting characters whom he is invited to play.
