Young years
The childhood and youth of Yefim Shifrin passed in Latvia, in Jurmala, where the family moved after the political rehabilitation of his father from Kolyma in 1966. The boy grew very shy, he was shy of his poor vision, glasses. In order to somehow overcome the tightness, I began to attract attention with parody numbers. Teachers noticed the talent of the child and began to invite him to take part in school productions.
Already in high school, Yefim realized that he really wanted to become an artist. After graduating from school in 1973, he went to Moscow and submitted documents to the Shchukin school. I could not pass the entrance exams. I had to return to Latvia. He entered the philological faculty of the state university. He studied for a year, again decided to go to Moscow, try his luck.
Creative career
