Here is a brief definition that is common in society: “A feminist is a woman who fights for equality with men in everything.” And now, based on this definition, everyone draws his own conclusions based on his good breeding and education.

Ask the simplest man in the street: “Feminist - who is this?” Without hesitation, he will answer that she is a man-hater, a sexually insatiable woman and, in general, a lesbian. And it is not clear to him that these women have nothing to do with his definition. The purpose of their movement is equal rights in society. This is an opportunity to perform skilled work on an equal footing with men: to be judges and members of parliament, to operate and compose music, write scripts and make films, while earning on a level with a man. You can not put a woman at the stove without her will on it. There are many wonderful women who broadcast on television about home, everyday life, healthy eating, and needlework. This is their choice. Men are doing the same. We do not believe that this is not their business, but we are happy to use the tips on home improvement and cooking that sound from their lips. It is wrong when a man decides what to do for a woman, be it her husband or father. This is a violation of rights.
Gender Approach
Our society must come to the understanding that feminism will win, because for the state and society, equal rights between men and women are more advantageous than their dependence.
During periods of economic crisis, the patriarchal family has shown that it is not viable. During the heyday of feminism, which fell on the 80s of the XX century, it turned out that a man can not provide for his family, working alone. His income is not enough to pay for household services. It became clear that a woman can, while working, bring no less income to her family. This led to the understanding that in a modern democratic society, gender should not be paramount, but gender is a sociocultural type. There is no doubt that no branch of government should be homogeneous in terms of gender approaches. Women should be involved in politics, like their male counterparts. If we analyze the duties and competencies of each political post without any bias, we can understand that women can participate in politics in the same way as men. This is what the feminist is trying to prove. Who it is - man or woman - will be engaged in one or another work, depends on abilities and desire, and not on sexual characteristics.

The image of the feminist of Russia was formed under the influence of Soviet ideology, based on the concept: "Everything Western means bad."
And a feminist means a whore or a bitch. But the movement of feminists remains relevant regardless of the definitions of ordinary people. Even now, when equality of opportunity is recognized, they, these opportunities, are provided mainly to men. Women who have not come to power cannot influence the future of their lives. In order to attract attention, feminist campaigns are held. Initiators of actions do not always think through their goals to the end, and as a result, they turn into extras with an unsightly ending. Typically, such actions are broadcast in the media, strengthening viewers in the opinion that feminism is bad.
And yet let's define: a feminist - who is it? This is a woman who, in contrast to upholding patriarchal gender roles, seeks to show: there is a problem for women in our society, this problem needs to be addressed. There is a person’s right to be himself, and not what he wants to see in our patriarchally distorted world.
