When experts evaluate the international and geopolitical situation, the neighboring countries of Russia are given special attention. Researchers continue to analyze the specificity of relations between our state and neighboring countries.

On the one hand, experts noted its cultural proximity to Europe, and on the other, its objective specificity, due to the geographical location of Russia, its vast territory and cultural and historical heritage.

In addition, according to economists and political scientists, the neighboring countries of Russia had a significant impact on the changes that took place in Eurasia in the 90s of the twentieth century. It was the destruction of the former equilibrium, which lasted about half a century, that led to the crisis of political identity in Europe and in our country.

Moreover, in Russia another crisis is superimposed on this crisis - the collapse of the USSR. From a theoretical and practical point of view, our country is becoming a continental state that has access to both the Black and Baltic Sea. But it is also separated from Central Europe by borders with independent states of the near and middle abroad.

So, characterizing the neighboring countries of Russia, first of all, I would like to pay attention to Georgia. Its capital is Tbilisi. A distinctive feature of Georgia is the unification of a beautiful landscape and a small territory. From the north, the Caucasus Mountains are on its defense, and from the west - the Black Sea. A third of the country is covered with forests with oak, beech, spruce and pine trees. One of the attractions of this country is the vineyards.

The closest neighbors of Russia are Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The capital of Azerbaijan is Baku. Azerbaijan is famous for fragrant tea and delicious crispy cakes baked in round ovens called tandoor.

Along the Caspian Sea are the eastern neighbors of Russia - Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Moreover, Kazakhstan has a rather long border with Russia. Its capital is Astana. They grow bread and cotton in this region, and are engaged in sheep farming. The Kazakhs are excellent hunters, the so-called golden eagles, who hunt wolves and foxes using their faithful golden eagles.

Mongols are engaged in cattle breeding (goats, sheep, horses and camels are bred). Their home is portable (yurt), which is built of trellised wooden walls with a dome in the form of a cone made of poles and felt covering. In the center of the yurt, a hearth is necessarily located, and comfort in such a dwelling is created with the help of thick carpets. Due to the peculiar structure of the yurt, it is possible to assemble and disassemble in just a few hours.

Neighboring countries of Russia would not be fully considered, if not to mention China and Korea. Thus, China is the third largest state in the world and the main supplier of rice. The famous landmark of China is the Great Wall of China, built for defense against nomads.

North Korea lies between the Japanese and Yellow Seas. The border with Russia is the shortest (16 km). The capital of this country is Pyongyang.
