Not every player manages to become the top scorer of the national championship. Dmitry Kirichenko managed to do this twice. In addition, he is the third among the top scorers in the history of the championships of Russia.

Taganrog Goleador

Dmitry Kirichenko was born in the city of Novoaleksandrovsk, Stavropol Territory in January 1977, on the 17th. At a young age he played in Lokomotiv from Mineralnye Vody. In those years, his Goleador flair had not yet manifested itself, so with a zero indicator in the goal scoring graph after the first season he left the club and played in his native Iskra for a year. A year later, he again decided to show himself in big football by going to the club of the second league - “Torpedo” from Taganrog. Seven goals in the first season, but especially thirty-two in the second, allowed the player to go on the rise. The first club of the top division was for the player “Rostselmash”.

On the way to highscores

Kirichenko Dmitri began his goals in the eighth round of the 1998 championship, having scored five goals against opponents in a season. Next year - one more ball.

But the 2000th and 2001 years the scorer finished with indicators of fourteen and thirteen goals. This was the key to his future achievements. Already the 2002 season, the player begins in the red and blue uniform of the capital’s army club and finishes it on the first line in the list of Russian goals, sharing the championship with teammate Gusev.

The same year brings the first awards - silver medals of the championship of Russia. The following year brought the championship title, but the player leaves the first roles in CSKA, which relies on legionnaires. Five goals in the 2003 season and 9 in the next year were one of the reasons that Dmitry Kirichenko changed one club in the capital to another - “Moscow”. But at the same time, he continued to be periodically called up to the Russian national team, where he got back during his striking successes in Rostov.

Records Kirichenko

It was in the game for the Russian team that Dmitry Kirichenko set his main record. The footballer in 2004 scored a goal against Greece at the 67th second, which was the fastest result in the history of European championships.

In total, Dmitry played for the national team of the Russian Federation twelve times between 2001 and 2006, scoring four goals. Going to Moscow again put him on a leading position in the goal-scoring race, which he finished in 2005 with the title of top scorer of the Russian championship, now single-handed.

In 2006, only two goals were scored less than the leadership season. The next club Kirichenko became Saturn near Moscow, in which he spent four seasons. In this club in 2007, he scored the hundredth goal in the Russian championship, becoming the third player in history to achieve such a result. In the same club, two years later, reached the mark of 300 matches in the top division. In addition, starting the 2004/05 European season on the CSKA team, Kirichenko rightfully became the owner of the UEFA Cup, which the Moscow club won in the spring of 2005 already without Dmitry as a member.

At the age of 34 he returned to the city where his career in the major league began, in the club "Rostov". For two years he didn’t take to the pitch very often, but he helped the team to avoid relegation from the Premier League by scoring in transitional matches. With Rostov, another record is set, which Dmitry Kirichenko set. His series of scored penalties began precisely in the team of this city in 2000 and ended ten years later with an unbeaten penalty in the goal of a team from the city of Don. In total, the series has twenty-two productive hits.
