So fast transformations in public consciousness never happened. Yesterday, the metrosexual dudes are forced to move and miss the stern men lumberjacks in first place. If, speaking of a man, they use the word "brutal" - this is a kind of compliment, confirmation of his viability and physical attractiveness for the opposite sex. What is it: a new trend or a return to the roots?

A century ago, family and love relationships were simple and understandable. The man was assigned the role of protector and earner. He had to provide for his family financially, to protect him from external threats. The life of most men was associated with physical work and harsh living conditions. The woman created coziness and kept the hearth.

Over time, the need for immediate physical protection, as such, was gradually lost. Engage in pronounced "masculine" professions (loaders, builders, lumberjacks, tractor drivers, plumbers) is no longer prestigious. Men became designers, fashion designers, cooks. There was a large outflow of the male population in offices and web studios. Women mastered professions that were always considered exclusively male: an engineer, a banker, a taxi driver, a lawyer, and even a security guard. Such a situation at the beginning of the last century would have seemed simply unthinkable.

It is not surprising that, against the backdrop of such strong social modifications, the demands of the sexes on each other have changed. In particular, women began to demand evidence of "male solvency" from their office chosen ones. Many girls want their boyfriend to be brutal. This should be expressed both in his appearance and in some aspects of his behavior. In fact, such a requirement is on a par with the desire of men to see their lovers in a beautiful dress and high heels. And if with female beauty, everything is quite clear - Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn are still examples of femininity, but with brutality - not very. So what does “brutal man” mean, and what should they be?

As in female beauty, there are examples to follow. First of all, these are Hollywood actors of a new wave: Jason Statham, Gerard Butlair and Hugh Jackman. A sculpted body, a weekly stubble and a stern look are permanent attributes of today's retrosexuality. As for the style in clothes, these are multiple references to the classics and simplicity: draped raincoats, leather items, blue loose jeans, T-shirts, checkered shirts. Many are mistaken in thinking that a brutal man is some kind of retrosexual with a personal stylist. This image is a little deeper. When they say "brutal", this implies a number of personal qualities. Courage, strength, composure, responsibility and reliability.

We can say that this image is largely inspired by the modern film industry. Despite the fact that many men tend to look brutal, a similar type is rarely seen in real life. Will it be preserved as a guideline for future generations of men or will it become another social trend that will be forgotten? You can’t say for sure. Gender relations continue to grow rapidly and become more complex. Perhaps the belief that a real man should be brutal is the anchor that clings to the old model of relationships, the relevance of which is less and less every day.
