What miracles are not presented to us by nature, showing that it is inexhaustible in unique things and phenomena.
One of them is a real natural phenomenon - the petrified waterfall Hierve el Agua, which for some reason is called "boiling water" (this is a translation from Spanish).
It is located in Mexico (Oaxaca) surrounded by unspoilt nature. With its fantastic view, the cascade attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world, which is not surprising, because it is considered the most beautiful attraction of this amazing country.
As a result, a "stone" waterfall was formed
Those who have not seen this natural wonder will probably ask what is so unusual about a waterfall. But those who got to him and absorbed his cosmic beauty will name these, as if frozen cascades of water on the side of a mountain, frozen by music.

But the whole point is that this is not ice, and where can it come from in such a hot climate? And calcium carbonate deposits that took such a bizarre appearance. And although there really is no flowing down water, looking at these frozen forms, only one word comes to mind - “waterfall”.
At the top of the mountain range, from which it falls, there are several sources, the water in which is saturated with salts and minerals. They feed two pools formed from mineral deposits. Water, falling into them from sources, periodically overflows over their edge, and flows down a rocky surface.
When it flows down, it undergoes a crystallization process, as a result of which large formations similar to stalactites are created, which can be observed in caves. This is how day after day, year after year, century after century, this “stone” waterfall was formed, which has reached impressive size by now.

Big and small waterfalls
In fact, this is not one waterfall, but a complex consisting of two rock formations - large and small.
The large one is called the Cascade Grande and has a base 90 m wide, which is located at an altitude of 80 m above sea level, and the waterfall itself goes down 30 m
Small is the Chica Cascade or Amphitheater. Its base is 18 meters wide, and the “frozen stream” itself has a length of 12 meters. Of the two cascades, it is it that is accessible and the most visited.
