Kazan is a beautiful ancient city. It includes modern complexes with skyscrapers, and historical places with ancient buildings. Among the many attractions right in the center of Kazan is the amazing cozy Tugan Avylym complex - a Tatar village in miniature. The name in translation means "native village".

It is clear that this complex does not belong to the most important sights of Kazan, but it is also very interesting and quite colorful. Therefore, he, too, is quite worthy of special attention as residents of the city, and guests of the capital of Tatarstan.

General information

The Tatar village in Kazan combines the virtues of an open-air ethnographic museum and a restaurant and entertainment center. Visitors have a great opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a rural settlement of bygone days and get acquainted with everyday life and crafts, without leaving the vast metropolis.

The museum was stylized as a rural settlement with an emphasis on ethnicity. It deserves a separate visit, and inclusion in any tourist route along the city's historical and architectural sites. The village is a magnificent architectural ensemble, completely made of log buildings. It looks like a contrast to the surroundings of modern high-rise buildings, but it looks unexpectedly spectacular.

History of the complex

The appearance in the city of this remarkable complex - “Tugan Avylym”, was timed to coincide with the millennium anniversary of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. This was facilitated by the endless interest of the people in ancient culture and customs.

In 2005, cute, cozy wooden houses and huts were built in the center of Kazan. All this has been done so that visitors to the complex could see with their own eyes the life and features of the Tatars in the old days, as well as experience the true hospitality of this nation.
