Tomris Inger is a famous Turkish and Bulgarian actress. She became famous in the post-Soviet space after broadcasting the television series “1001 Nights”, as well as “Love and Punishment”. Tomris died on October 4, 2015 at the age of 67 from cancer.
General information
Tomris Inger was born on March 16, 1948 in the city of Varna, in Bulgaria. From a young age, Inger was a very artistic child. In 1974 (at age 26), a novice actress was hired by the Municipal Theater of Istanbul.
Although the girl worked in the capital's theater, at that time only a small number of Turkish theatergoers knew her. Only after many years, Tomris finally got to the cinema.
TV and cinema career
Once in the movie, Inger immediately established himself as a talented actress. And both comedic and dramatic genres. Films Tomris Inger repeatedly received various awards of film critics of Turkey.
In 1995, the actress was awarded the prize for her role in the film Aylaklar. In 2003, Tomris was presented with another award, this time for his role in the film Camur. The success and recognition of Tomris was brought not by these films, but by the Turkish television series Love and Punishment and 1001 Nights.
These multi-part television series were broadcast first in Turkey, and then in other countries of the world. Inger got into them the roles of women in age, mother-in-law of the main characters.
The romantic drama series "1001 Nights" was broadcast on Canal D from November 2006 to May 2009. The main roles in the series were played by actors Halit Ergench and Bergusar Corel.
Tomris Inger in the project got the role of Nadida Evliaoglu, the wife of a character named Burhan and mother-in-law of the main character.
Other series in which Inger played: “The Rule” (in 2015), “Every Marriage Deserves a Second Chance” (in 2012), “The Tale of Istanbul” (in 2003) and “Sunglasses” (in 1978).
In total, the actress has a little more than twenty roles in the cinema and on television.
Theater work
In her free time, the actress continued to play in theatrical productions. As a result, over thirty years of work in the theater, the actress played more than a dozen roles. For work in the theatrical production of Gonlumdeki Kosk Olmasa, Tomris was awarded the Sadri Alisik Odulleri Prize.
