Political career

Yakovlev Maxim Eduardovich (LDPR) has been a member of the party since 2004. Since 2007, he headed the office of the deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. Since 2011, he coordinated the activities of the regional branch of the party. In December of the same year he was elected to the fifth convocation from the St. Petersburg branch of the LDPR.

In 2015, he was appointed to the post of chairman of the party’s financial committee, replacing Konstantin Sukhenko. And he began to head the culture committee in the city administration, according to the appointment of Governor G. Poltavchenko. Yakovlev Maxim Eduardovich for a long time was a member of the control group of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly.

For several years he represented the interests of two more Yakovlevs: ex-governor Vladimir and criminal authority Konstantin. In March 2015, Maxim Eduardovich was delegated to the Commission on State Programs and to the Economic Council under the Governor and became the actual state adviser to St. Petersburg first class. According to some rumors (not officially confirmed), Yakovlev paid students for exits at rallies in which the LDPR party participated.

In 2015, Maxim Eduardovich was removed from the party position of the head of the budget and finance committee very suddenly. For many in the LDPR, this was a surprise. Yakovlev himself was not at all surprised and told reporters that he was ready for this, and such a turn was not a surprise to him.

This issue has already been discussed with Zhirinovsky in advance. The fact is that Maxim Eduardovich worked for a second term as manager. And according to the party charter, one cannot remain in the third. The replacement was supposed to happen only in 2016. But since the elections were postponed to September, the election of a new leadership in the party also shifted in time.

It was decided that instead of Maxim Eduardovich, M. Dolgopolov will become the new leader. His candidacy was put forward by Zhirinovsky personally. Moreover, the replacement was made lightning fast. Perhaps this was done to strengthen the party branch. But there is another version of the instant replacement of Yakovlev. He stopped arranging D. Volchek, who controls the St. Petersburg branch of the party. But this version is not proven.

Other activities

In the dashing nineties, Maxim Yakovlev took part in the creation of many urban radio and television resources (22, 36 and 40 channels). And he began with the radio station Premier SV Neva. Yakovlev created it together with the Moscow company S. Lisovsky and deputy D. Volchek. But the capital partners had some difficulties, and the structure was closed. And on its base appeared the Neva agency.

After the changes that occurred in the advertising market, the Trend company appeared. The Neva was part of it as a structural unit. The company Trend sold ad units in Russian cities.

When Maxim Eduardovich began working under the direction of Irina Prudnikova, more than a million dollars were transferred to the Petersburg shopping and entertainment center. S. Tarasov, speaker of the St. Petersburg parliament, was lobbying for this decision.

In the summer of 2003, Maxim Eduardovich left the St. Petersburg shopping mall at his own request. But this act was dictated by the change of power on the channel. Resources were prepared for the campaign of V. Matvienko. Leningrad region was one of the largest shareholders of the company and expressed dissatisfaction with the management of the shopping center. But there were other complaints.

Student assistance

In early 2011, near the metro station Pushkinskaya, on Pionerskaya Square, a rally was held, consisting of supporters of the Liberal Democratic Party. Almost two hundred Petersburg students came to the action. Before the event, all the protesters were checked according to the lists. And after the campaign was over, students were given money.

It looked like a fee for participating in a rally. But Yakovlev answered journalists 'questions that the money issued was distributed as compensation for students' travel, since students always experience material difficulties.
