Rita J. King, a well-known futurist, executive vice president of business development, and a director of a department called Science House, recently spoke at NASA with students. Her speech was impressive, but most of all those present, especially the girls, admired her look.
Really “brilliant” scientist
Rita J. King appeared in front of the audience in a sparkling dress of golden color, fully embroidered with rhinestones and sequins. So the girl tried to convey the idea that wearing sparkles does not detract from the seriousness of what women scientists do for science.
This greatly inspired her audience. In fact, Rita did not plan to wear something extravagant. However, one day before the performance, one of the coordinators contacted her with an unusual request.
It turned out that a group of young girls who later planned to become scientists wrote a letter to Rita. In their appeal, they asked the woman to put on something sparkling for the performance. The girls wrote that they would be happy to see a truly brilliant scientist in the world.
