Absurdity is the anchor of the perception of the world

This concept for the normal philistine consciousness denotes the boundary beyond which begins insanity and delirium. And this state of affairs is justified. An ordinary normal person has absolutely nothing to do outside of a reasonably justified world. And there is no reason to jump over the barrier separating the real world from the absurd. Absurdity is insanity, and a normal person does not need him at all. But there are only some categories of people who are forced to go beyond the boundaries of common sense. They have such a mission. These are all kinds of thinkers, analysts, artists, poets and musicians. Even for mathematicians, this is a very significant and significant concept. And in the debate there is a very widespread and effectively working method of conducting discussion - to bring to the absurdity the arguments of the opponent in the dispute. This allows us to show the failure of the concept, which must be challenged. But most often this technique is used with a shortage of real arguments. Similarly, when there is nothing to object to the substance of the arguments presented, usually only one word is uttered - absurdity.

This is a complex and multidimensional concept. It is the basis for the paradoxical vision of the world that underlies many phenomena of culture, religion and art.

A lot of absurdity in politics. Both in theoretical justifications and in practical embodiments of the ideas of various leaders and Fuhrer. As a rule, in the practical implementation of their ideas, something completely opposite to what was promised is structured.

Surrealism as the apotheosis of the absurd

Absurdity is what lies at the basis of several major areas in literature, drama, theater, painting and cinema. These trends found their beginning in the logic of events of the twentieth century. There is a whole “Theater of the Absurd” based on the dramaturgy of such classics as Eugene Ionesco and Samuel Becket. But the most organic embodiment of the absurd became surrealism - one of the central phenomena in the aesthetics of the last century.

In order to understand and comprehend the meaning of the word absurdity, it is not necessary to read dictionaries. It is enough to look through the album with reproductions of the great Spaniard Salvador Dali. This artist became the greatest classic of the twentieth century painting. He was able to show the general public how expressive the absurdity can be. And how infinite it is in its diverse manifestations. Absurd images can tell the thinking viewer much more than the expressive means of previous aesthetic systems.

Not surprisingly, the same people stood at the origins of this trend in both painting and cinema. A classic of the genre was the film of Luis Bunuel "Andalusian dog". This ingenious absurd work belongs to a friend of Salvador Dali, who professed the same views on the world, which cannot be rationally interpreted.
