Aisha Hinds (born November 13, 1975) is an American television, theater and film actress. She had secondary roles in a number of television series: Shield, True Blood, Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. In 2016, she played Fanny Lou Hammer in the biographical drama film "Until the End" and was introduced as Harriet Tabman at the WGN America Underground Theater.
The future actress was born in Brooklyn, New York. When a high school dance instructor noticed that red shoes could not fully unleash the girl’s potential, he sent her to the New York High School of Performing Arts, where she began her formal acting education.
2002-2011
She began her television career in 2003 at NYPD Blue. In 2004, she had a permanent role in The Shield (Annie Price), and later in The Investigation of Jordan, Boston Lawyers, Philadelphia Always Sunny, Law & Order: Special Corps, Stargate: SG-1, Detective Rush, and Desperate Housewives. Hinds played regular roles in two short series from ABC: Invasion from 2005 to 2006 and Detroit 1-8-7 (2010-2011).
She also had recurring roles in the TV series Doll House, Sister Hawthorne, and True Blood. The actress starred in a full-length movie. 2011-2016
In 2013, Aisha Hinds appeared in the series from CW - "Cult" in the role of the evil Rosalind Sakelik. Immediately after the Cult was canceled, Hinds was included in the CBS series of regular television series Under the Dome based on the eponymous book by Stephen King. After the first season, she was taken to work on an ongoing basis.
In 2014, she had secondary roles in the films If I Stay and Out of the World. Also that year, she had the recurring role of chief investigator Ava Wallace in Naval Police: Los Angeles. In 2015, Hinds was included in the cast of the series Breed.
