Then, in this image, which brought him tremendous popularity, he began to perform in a duet with Veronika Mavrikievna Mesozoiskaya - a lady of aristocratic appearance, played by Vadim Tonkov.
In April 1988, Boris Pavlovich died suddenly. He was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery in Moscow. His son Michael continued the acting dynasty.
