The beginning of the way
Gloria began her career in her youth. It all started after she performed at the university theater. At age 20, Gloria ends her studies to build a life with her husband Blair Gordon Newell.
Some time later, the two of them moved to Carmel, Arizona, where the actress joined the art community and decided to try her talent in local theaters under the pseudonym Gloria Stewart.
First steps in the cinema
Career quickly went uphill after the actress moved back to California, where she began to study fine art. It was there, in the Pasadena Theater Playhouse, the producer of Universal and discovered in her extraordinary talent.

In the 30s, she starred in films, working with horror director James Keith. The actress was very successful, even more than her husband, whom they divorced in 1934 for the same reason.
Not much time passed, and Gloria again went down the aisle. Now her favorite is the writer of "Roman scandals" (1933) Arthur Schickman, and a year later they had a daughter.
In 1936, she canceled the contract with Universal and signed a new one, this time with 20th Century Fox. This was a kind of impetus in her career.
The war has begun. During these years, Gloria knew that it was in her power to help the people and the country, so she decided to entertain troops in hospitals and help sell military bonds.
In the postwar period, the actress decided to leave the cinema, so she opened a scenery store and devoted herself to painting.
Return to the screens
After 30 years of calm in the movie, Gloria Stewart returned to the screens in 1975, starring in the series, and in 1982 in the full-length film.
In 1997, Gloria played one of the most significant roles for her, which led to her universal recognition in the world of cinema.
Thanks to director James Cameron, who directed The Titanic, Gloria’s talent was again seen, but in new colors. In this picture, she played Rose Devitt Booker, who became one of the surviving women after the tragic sinking of the Titanic. In the film, she was supposedly 101 years old, and in real life, 87 years old.
