A variety of TV shows and films are released almost every day, which is why finding a really interesting work becomes quite a challenge. Brench Aloiz Aloizovich is a world-famous screenwriter, director and actor who during his career has shot only a few dozen cinematographic works, each of which has an interesting plot and dynamism of events. In this material we will talk in detail about the personality of the director, his biography, as well as filmography. We will begin, of course, right now!

Biography

Alois Branch was born on June 6, 1929 in Riga, which is the largest city in the Baltic States and at the same time the capital of Latvia. His family lived quite poorly, and during the period of terrible hostilities, the young man, along with his sister, was sent to farm laborers. By the way, 30 years after these events in the same place, he will shoot his film entitled "The Long Road in the Dunes."

In 1953, a self-confident young man graduated from the Vitol State Conservatory of Latvia with a degree in directing. In addition, 3 years after that, in the capital of modern Russia, a man graduated from higher directing courses, which finally confirmed his qualifications.

Carier start

Alois Branch, whose filmography will be discussed a little later in this material, in 1945 became an actor in the State Art Theater of the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic. He worked there for only one year, and in 1953 he became the main director of the Radio Information Administration, operating under the Ministry of Culture of the LSSR.

It is also worth noting that in 1954 the man left the post of chief director and got a job at the Riga film studio. In addition, during the period from 1956 to 1966, the world-famous director today made 146 cinematographic magazines, among which were a variety of feature films and documentaries, as well as much more. By the way, in 1969, Alois Branch, whose films today are watched with great pleasure by thousands of people, became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Career from 1968 to 1996

It should be noted that the director Alois Branch, together with his colleague Hertz Frank in 1968, shot one of his most popular cinematographic projects, entitled “Without Legends”. This documentary became the harbinger of the picture known today as the Man from Marble, which was written by Andrzej Wajda in 1978.

By the way, during his rather long career, the man made not very many cinematographic works, but it’s definitely worth highlighting a film called “Anna”, which was released in 1996 and was the last one to be directed by the person discussed today.

The last years of life and death

After the premiere of the popular film "Anna", which was shot by order of the Catholic Church, the man no longer took up work, and two years later he died suddenly. The date of death is October 28, 1998, and the reason is pretty simple - an extensive heart attack.

The famous director to date was buried at the Mikel cemetery in Riga, and in honor of his memory a documentary film was shot, directed by Tsane, and the script for it was written by Ryadovich. It is also worth noting that the man had Asya Brench, who did not marry after his death.

Filmography

If you believe one rather popular site about cinema, it turns out that during his career from 1956 to 1996, the director made only 20 films, and also took part in one film called “Behind the Swan Cloud Pack” of 1956.

Of course, many do not understand how this excellent director managed to shoot only 20 films in 40 years of work, but no one knows the answer to this question, so you should not guess, but just pay tribute to these beautiful 20 films.
