In 2012, the “Immortal Regiment” campaign began in Tomsk, founded by journalist Sergei Kolotovkin. The meaning of this movement was to parade with portraits of their relatives, who participated in the Great Patriotic War as if they were still among the living. A year later, 120 cities of Russia participated in it. In 2015, the project "Immortal Regiment" in our country became widespread. In each locality, rallies and parades are held using banners with photographs and names of participants in the Great Patriotic War.

Immortal Regiment. Altai region

Do not forget about their veterans and those who died during the Great Patriotic War and in Altai. The Altai Krai supported the Immortal Regiment action with the greatest enthusiasm. There were a lot of citizens who responded to the call to tell about their relatives, participants in the Second World War. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk and Barnaul - these are the cities in which the largest number of stories about front-line soldiers are written.

Such a number of people who are ready to support the Immortal Regiment (Altai Territory) action is due to the fact that during the war years more people were called from the territory to the front than from any other subjects of the Soviet Union.

How to write in the "Immortal Regiment" of their frontline relatives?

In order for each participant in the war to be recorded in the "Immortal Regiment", you need to go to the all-Russian site moypolk.ru. After authorization, you need to find the rubric “Deployment of the regiment” and select “Altai Territory”. After choosing a district or city, press the button “Write Grandfather to the regiment”. The data on the soldier (years of life, front line, awards, memories) should be entered in the form that opens. An arbitrary format of the form allows you to tell in your own words about the participant in the war, write stories from the military biography of war veterans, and memoirs of veterans.

This project is planned to continue until all those who fought for the victory over fascism in 1941-1945 are recorded on the website and in books dedicated to the Immortal Regiment both in Altai and in all other regions of Russia.

Where to get a banner?

Anyone who wants to take part in the action must have a banner with the data of his soldier. It can be ordered in a special workshop, or you can make it yourself. The pattern is one for all. The outer part measuring 290 by 435 mm contains information about the participant in the war (surname, name, patronymic, rank). You can make it from any suitable material (plastic, plywood). A photo of 245 by 335 mm is glued onto it, which can be printed on a printer. If there is no photo, you can use the logo of the Immortal Regiment. This whole structure is attached to a handle 400 mm long.

You can take part in the parade in Barnaul if you arrive on May 9 at 11 a.m. at 71 Lenin Avenue (platform at the Rossiya shopping center) or 61/13 Lenin Ave (platform at Zernobank).
