Traditional real estate in the near future may find a serious competitor in the form of alternative energy-efficient housing. The architectural studio Vural from Brooklyn (USA) offered its view on the arrangement of living space according to the principles of "green" construction.
The original house is located in a sand dune and completely dispenses with utilities.
Resort housing for a comfortable stay
The idea of building such an unusual object came to the attention of the studio staff with the submission of one of the clients who set the task to develop a house project on the coast. The emphasis was placed on the self-sufficiency and independence of housing, which would ensure the possibility of a secluded and carefree vacation. Ultimately, Vural presented the project of a two-story house carved in a sand dune.

Wellfleet village on the Cape Cod Peninsula was chosen as the site for building the house. The head of the studio, Selim Vural, is well acquainted with this area, since he regularly rests there in the summer season.
After studying the climate and landscape, from the point of view of the project, it was decided to literally fit the structure of the building into the structure of the sand dune.
Moreover, the walls of the house completely repeat the line of the hill with a silhouette, so from a distance at a certain viewing angle no one will even notice an artificial installation.
