Hi friends! Today we have a Russian language lesson. We will consider the meaning of one of the oldest words, which in our time is very popular among various kinds of citizens. We will talk about the meanings of the word "cattle". This is an ambiguous term, interpreted by each of us differently. Let's look at all the options for interpreting this dubious term and find out whether we understand its meaning correctly, which we sometimes try to convey to one or another opponent.

Cattle: meaning of the word

In general, translated from Polish, this word means livestock. However, even from ancient times, it began to be actively used in relation to people and designate the submissive and limp "flock" of slaves. In the 19th century, landowners called this word their peasants.

Cattle is not even a feature of the lexicon! This is not some kind of behavior of people in society. This is something abstract. For cattle, only one single factor always remains important: obedience to someone, constant submission to someone’s will. In other words, a leader, a commander, should be above him. Cattle is a "vegetable". It cannot live on its own. Therefore, losing the owner is the worst thing that can happen to cattle, friends!

The cattle phenomenon denies human personality, dignity and property. Of course, all freedom is denied. The cattle will simply disappear at large, because it is not accustomed to earn money on its own, and also does not know how to assume any responsibility (including for its own life). The most interesting thing is that neither education, nor social status, nor income level, nor education have any significance at the same time!

All of the above is a well-known and complete concept of the term "cattle". Its only meaning has been divided in our time into several subsidiaries related to certain personalities. So what do we put in this word today?

Who are the cattle people:

  1. Remember the groupings of the 90s. Inflated skinhead “bulls”, obeying the will of any authority, did not allow people to enter the markets. So these same "bulls" in tracksuits, physically strong and aggressive, which are easily controlled by the authoritative opinion of the "owner", are cattle in one of the modern understandings. Other words that are semantically similar in this context are morons, thugs.

  2. Another ultramodern meaning of the word under consideration tells us the following. Cattle is a creature in the shell of a person. Moreover, it (the creature) is deprived of the mind, as well as spiritually poor, which, in turn, causes its unpredictable and disgusting behavior towards the broad masses (insulting citizens). These people are social dregs (and of their own free will). Antisocial behavior is their main "weapon". Therefore, the language of power is the main "means of struggle" against this "evil spirits."

So, friends, we fully examined the main meaning of this unpleasant word, and also learned about its semantic derivatives. I hope that each of you, when you called this or that person cattle, did it consciously! But be that as it may, I wish you never to utter this word! Good luck
