How did youth parliamentarism come about?
Discussions on issues related to the development of international parliamentarism began back in 1999 at a Moscow institute. The youth parliament was then considered as a system capable of realizing youth trends and interests through participation in elections.
Four years later, in Ryazan, for the first time, an All-Russian seminar was held on the development of youth parliamentarism in Russia. During the meeting, the results of the work of youth parliamentary systems in Russia were summed up, and other youth structures in the subjects of our country were already created on their basis. Annually from 2004 to 2007 In the Russian Federation, meetings of young parliamentarians took place, where it was decided to link the Youth Parliamentarism Centers with election commissions of various levels, and a decision was made on the participation of youth in the development of our country.
Decisions were made in 2005 and 2006, respectively. This became the main aspects of the further development of youth parliamentarism. The first Center for Youth Parliamentarism in Russia was established in 2008 by order of the government. So how important is such a system?

Continuous work on the creation of projects and their implementation gives good experience and helps the further development of youth. Anyone who decides to join the friendly youth team at any cost will have non-standard tasks, brainstorming, teamwork and a favorite job that is interesting to do. As already mentioned, Youth Parliamentarism Centers exist in many, even the smallest, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and, of course, in the capital of our homeland, Moscow.
How to get into parliament
Becoming a young parliamentarian is not as easy as it seems. First you need to submit an application, and then go through the selection. Then the candidates will have to demonstrate their abilities in various fields. Only after this, the selected participants will be recommended by the commission for inclusion in the composition of young parliamentarians. The age of the candidate must be between 14 and 30 years.
The youth parliament is a rather important body, which is primarily necessary for attracting young people to the life of the country, both public and political. It is the link between youth and power.
