Six years ago (in 2009), a magnificent dolphinarium was opened in Rostov-on-Don. It is not the only one in the city, but is significantly different from its predecessors. The building, built specifically for keeping marine animals, is a unique complex that takes into account all the subtleties of keeping dolphins. The first performances of marine artists took place in a small pool, where there was little space for animals and spectators. But these inconveniences ended six months later, when the dolphinarium moved to its new modern building.

Dolphinarium "Fairy Tale" (Rostov-on-Don)

Pinnipeds and dolphins live in two huge pools, and the third is their "concert hall", where they perform in front of the audience. The auditorium is beautifully decorated, has three stands located in the shape of the letter P.

Children's park

Many visitors appreciate this dolphinarium (Rostov-on-Don). Park "Fairy Tale", in which this institution is located, was created for small extreme people. In spring and summer, life boils here, and from morning to evening, children's voices ring. This is a rope park. On the ropes here you can move from tree to tree, overcome obstacles. The park is quite spacious. Here you can have a good time with the children before the start of the performance at the dolphinarium. The Fairytale Zoo and the Ice Arena are also located here.

Why do you need to visit the dolphinarium?

Throughout the year, the building maintains a constant temperature, therefore, both in the summer and in the winter, not only the inhabitants of the deep sea, but also people feel quite comfortable. Many spectators who attended the concerts are sure that not only big and small guests of the dolphinarium will enjoy it, but also “sea artists” who demonstrate complex acrobatic tricks, cleverly juggle with simple and complex objects, enjoy rolling trainers, dancing and singing to music and even become artists and paint.

How is the performance

From the beautifully designed lobby, all guests are invited to enter the spacious hall, designed for 350 spectators. They sit in three stands. The fourth side of the hall is reserved for the arena for trainers who work with animals.

To date, the dolphinarium in Rostov-on-Don has four dolphins - three bottlenose dolphins and one beluga whale. The latter is not yet participating in performances, he is still studying, but he is always present in the pool. Thus, he is accustomed to the audience and loud music.

Another artist is a charming fur seal, who won the hearts of Rostovites with his tricks. This is a very cute and friendly creature who loves to kiss dolphins. He performs his part of the performance and gives way to dolphins. And they seemed to be waiting for this. It seems that all they do is not the painstaking work of the trainers, but their own initiative of the animals. It is as if their jumping through the ring, juggling, swift rotation - this is their way to demonstrate their joy from meeting with the audience.

Fifty minutes fly by instantly (this is how long the performance lasts). Spectators are delighted with talented artists. They like the witty presenter and well-chosen musical accompaniment.
