She was born on October 25, 1986 in Solikamsk. Since childhood, she loved skiing, the love of which was instilled in her father, Yevgeny Yuryevich. Already in 2004, his friend invited Catherine to try herself in biathlon. Shumilova shared that she was very pleased with this proposal. Biathlon is very similar to cross-country skiing, which is combined with shooting. Katya has always been happy to do and is very glad that she got acquainted with this sport at the age of 18.
