Terrorism is the main problem of all mankind in the late 20th – early 21st centuries. Almost half of the world's states faced this terrifying disaster, which overtakes absolutely all civilians: men, women, old people and indiscriminately. An extremist is a person who has nothing holy, who does not value human lives. What is he guided by and why is he decided on such actions?

What is extremism

The word “extremism” is of Latin origin; it is translated into Russian as “extreme”. Literally, it can be interpreted as a commitment to radical views, be it politics, religion or social beliefs. Today, extremism is most bloody in religion and politics. In addition, very often at the core of radical views lies national rejection.

The Basics of Religious Extremism

Terrorists and extremists are often guided in their activities precisely by religious motives. However, the true reason may lie much deeper, because many leaders of such ultraradicals simply seek power and great profit. The following characteristics can be attributed to signs of true religious extremism:

  • Active propaganda of radical ideas.

An extremist is very often the person who cannot give an account of his actions and actions. An extremist is a person who wants to be visible. Very often, leaders of a particular group make public statements and threats. Thus, they satisfy their thirst for power and power over the rest of the world.

Extremists and radicals, who is it? How could their activities and ideology find supporters in the world? In many ways, this phenomenon is explained by the current international situation, globalization and total power, which is trying to establish over other US countries. A huge number of countries were swept by revolutionary moods, people who need stability and social guarantees take to the streets with weapons in their hands, believing that the goal justifies any methods. In such situations, the ideological leaders of extremist groups will easily be able to recruit new members of their team, promising them “golden mountains”.
