The future model, writer, actress and millionaire was born in the Czechoslovak city of Gottwald (the modern name is Zlin) in the family of an ordinary engineer. Several years of training, during which Ivana proved herself to be a real fighter, were not in vain, and in 1972 she was elected to the country's national ski race team.
