Young people, especially adolescents, tend to create societies of interests, to stand out from the crowd, to shock with their behavior and appearance. Most often, external paraphernalia does not at all indicate that adolescents are becoming aggressive or dangerous. You just need to understand them. And for this it is necessary to find out: who are the informals, and how to recognize them in the crowd.
Adherence to one or another youth movement, adolescents always demonstrate their way of dressing. This often does not correspond to their true value guidelines and only reflects a hobby that may not last long. In addition to the informals themselves, there are those who sympathize with them and those for whom this or that participation in the subculture has remained in the past, but has been reflected in the appearance and clothes. The young people themselves, who are members of one or another movement, pay special attention to their appearance. As an example of how informals dress, you can consider metallers, punks and rockers. Their styles are close and reminiscent of each other. First of all, these are hoodies and T-shirts that depict rock bands or symbols. Metalworkers prefer tales and wolves, and punks prefer a skull pattern. Bikers are characteristic of these currents - leather jackets with a large number of locks, the main one is located on the right, and not in the center, from which the name arose. Informals carry leather wristlets equipped with spikes and chains. Punks are unpretentious to clothes. They can wear camouflage pants. And metalworkers are informals whose clothes are densely covered with metal and rivets. Hence the name of the subculture.
In addition to the above, you can mention such popular youth movements as emo and Goths. They can also be easily seen in the crowd. Emo is an abbreviation for the word emotional. For adherents of the current, it is important not to hide their emotions and to be natural in manifestations of joy and sadness. In clothes, they adhere to two colors: black and pink. Skinny jeans, multi-colored belts with rivets, pink sneakers with colored laces wear the emo; they prefer the unisex style. Emo is characterized by a haircut - long, slanting bangs and long hair.
About who such informals are Goths, their external appearance, quite peculiar, will tell. They prefer black clothes: high-heeled boots, raincoats, jackets. Goth girls wear long dresses and corsets. They are attracted by everything mysterious and gloomy, their depressive outlook on the world is reflected in their clothes. Great attention is paid to makeup: white powder on the face, black eyes and lips let down.
It’s hard to recognize role players in the crowd. They are no different from other young people. Their hobby is fantasy literature and, in particular, The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. The role players regularly organize games for which medieval costumes are sewn, weapons and the script for the upcoming “battles” are being prepared. Fans of anime (Japanese animation) are somewhat akin to them. They conduct cosplay on which they transform into their favorite characters from anime series.
Representatives of subcultures are punks, football hooligans, straight edgers, skaters, graffitters. Talk about who such informals can be for a long time. There are many currents and movements. They are also destructive in nature (for example, neo-Nazis and skinheads), and, conversely, they are constructive, contributing to the development of young people. So, those who are fond of role-playing games, begin to deeply study history, compose poems and prose. Anime fans are keen on Japanese culture. Metalists and bikers, being fans of rock music, as a result can seriously study English.
It so happens that adolescents, having become acquainted with those who are informal, and having entered a certain movement, remain his adherents many years later. This happens because they begin to perceive not only the external side of the popular youth movement, but are also imbued with its ideology.
