Absolutely Russian, who absorbed all the elements of national culture, Igor Igorevich Matvienko has been known since the 90s as the author of truly folk hits performed by the Lube, Factory, and Ivanushki International groups. This is a producer of a new formation, lighting more than one star of domestic pop music.
The beginning of the way
A native of Zamoskvorechye, he was born on 02/06/1960 in a military family. Mom loved her husband so much that she named him after her only son. He spent most of his time on business trips, and his wife, an economist by profession, had to deal with the boy.
She dreamed of giving her child a musical education, but in a music school the guy did not find a hearing. The woman showed persistence in inviting teachers home. The first serious gift for the boy was the Zorya piano, and the teacher who revealed his future talent was Yevgeny Kapulsky.

Having become the music editor of the Pop Record studio in 1987, the composer decided to create his own group, inviting S. Mazayev to become its soloist. Songs for her were written in collaboration with the poet Alexander Shaganov. He, like the future leader of the team N. Rastorguev, hails from Lyubertsy, hence the name - the Lyube group.
Matvienko Igor Igorevich was initially against the candidacy of Rastorguev, who was recommended by Mazayev in his place, refusing to participate in the project. I didn’t even want to listen to him. But the future soloist showed an enviable persistence, having learned the entire repertoire. Matvienko liked such perseverance, and the very first tour showed that the choice was made correctly. “Combat”, “Come on for …”, “There Behind the Fogs”, “Birches” and other songs of the collective have been leading the country’s charts for over 25 years.
Producer
In 1991, Igor Igorevich Matvienko founded his own production center. His activity today is one of the most successful. In 1994, he made a bet on the charismatic A. Grigoriev-Appolonov, creating "Ivanushka International". But the guys could not break into the big stage. The novice producer was ready to close the unsuccessful project, but the team persuaded to make the last clip. It was the song “Clouds” in a trip-hop style unusual for Russians to hear, which instantly made the group famous.
Today, his center successfully produces the finalists of the "Star Factory" - Victoria Daineko, Sati Casanova, Irson Kudikova, Mikhail Grebenshchikov, because he personally took part in the reality show.
Together with V. Drobysh, M. Fadeev and K. Meladze, Matvienko Igor Igorevich created the project “Main Stage” on the TV channel “Russia” (2014), being unsatisfied with the results of the “Voice” contest. Winners more often than not remain in oblivion, because without media today it is difficult to break into the elite of show business.
The result of his successful work was an invitation to become the music producer of the 2014 Olympics. He did an excellent job by recording choral singing and making unique arrangements.
Personal life
Matvienko Igor Igorevich came to the temple at a mature age. He regrets that he failed to create a family approved by the Orthodox Church. By the age of 56, he has five children and granddaughter Nyusha from his eldest son, Stanislav. With his mother, he was not married, but always took part in the life of the child. Today, the young man works in the production center of his father. The eldest daughter Anastasia from her second wife named Larisa is a clothing designer, she studied in England.
