The Cuban Mercedes Dillon is used to walking long distances according to her occupation. The 70-year-old widow makes a living selling clothes and gets up at seven in the morning to go around many houses.
She had just returned home in Harare, Zimbabwe, when she heard about the cyclone Go on the radio. The storm, which is currently considered one of the worst tropical cyclones that hit the Southern Hemisphere, passed through parts of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

Upon learning of the effects of the storm, Dillon immediately filled the bag with kitchen utensils and clothes that she had previously intended to resell. Now she has decided to deliver all this to the disaster relief area.
