How boring it was to study some 10 years ago! Textbooks, boring pictures, similar exhibits. Museums also did not differ in their uniqueness. The silence of city museums and exhibitions, of course, was interesting, but not more than once.
With the advent of the Internet, much has changed. We saw different points of view and got acquainted with more interesting pictures from different countries. However, learning was still boring.

The age of computer technology, bold decisions, creative approach and most importantly - real professionals in their field, who gave us the opportunity to look at history, the museum, the exhibition differently. I wanted to return to the museum, and one of such exclusive and bold ones is the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.
Museum of Old Petersburg
St. Petersburg is a young city, but its history, which fits into 300 years of incredible events, does not fit into the framework of a museum or project. It was very difficult to create such a museum, where it would be possible to examine in detail all spheres of the city’s life, to go through the historical events of these years and at the same time make it not boring, informative and accessible. The Museum of the History of St. Petersburg coped with this task, becoming one of the largest museums in Russia and one of the most interesting and beloved in St. Petersburg.
The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg was opened in 1910. Most of the exhibits were collected from other museums. It was a small and quite informative collection of artifacts from previous years from the life of the city. The idea of developing the museum was quite versatile, new departments were opened every year, the creators wanted to cover every area of the life of their beloved city.
In addition to the information function, the museum also took on the duties of a designer, and scientists and artists working on the development of projects to improve and ennoble the city worked in the state.
The Soviet years made adjustments to the life of the museum. Many had to be abandoned due to ideological considerations. They built up history, changed information, changed the name of the museum and the people who were at the origins of the creation of this historical place.
History of the museum and the city
However, the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg continued to grow. New branches were opened, after the harsh Stalinist regime the number of permitted exhibits increased.
In 1993, when the city was restored to its historical name, the museum was returned to its original name, which it has preserved to this day.
Today, the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg has more than 10 branches of interesting exhibitions, and one of them is My History.

This museum of history in St. Petersburg on Basseynaya until March was absolutely free and, of course, attracted most of the curious audience. Today, both adults and children are talking about him and want to get there.
