This man initiated a double terrorist attack in 2011 in Norway. The crimes he committed were unprecedented in nature, so the resident of the North European country - Andreas Breivik - overnight became known throughout the world. He is responsible for the deaths of 77 people on the island of Utoya and 8 residents of the capital during the bombing in Oslo. The public absolutely justifiably considered that his atrocities were terrible and inhuman. However, the criminal himself convinces everyone that by his actions he wanted to rid the country of the Islamists who invaded Europe. One way or another, but for radical methods of dealing with migrants Andreas Breivik received a severe punishment, namely: 21 years of isolation from society. Moreover, it is possible that this period can be changed to life. What prompted the Norwegian to go to such a non-standard solution to the problem of the resettlement of Islamists in countries with an alien culture? What is the basis of his behavior? Let's consider this question in more detail.

Curriculum Vitae

Breivik Anders Bering is the son of a diplomat. His mother worked as a nurse. "Norwegian shooter" was born on February 13, 1979 in the capital of Norway, Oslo.

Andreas Breivik was not lucky to be brought up in a full-fledged family for a long time: two years after his birth, his parents divorced. The boy, along with his half-sister and mother, settled in a prestigious area of the capital - Skoyen. After some time, the mother of the future radical nationalist remarried the military.

Andreas Breivik attended elementary (Smestad), middle (Ris) and high (Hartvig Nissen) schools. Then the young man remotely graduated at the Norwegian School of Management.

Labor activity

After studying, the guy got a job at the call center of the telecommunications company Telia. Further, the young man established his own company, which was specialized in the processing and storage of data. It seemed that the biography of Andreas Breivik was developing in the best way, but in 2008 his brainchild became bankrupt.

The “Norwegian shooter” himself announced that in his life he had to change more than one job. He claimed to have worked as a manager at ACTA Economical Counselling, was an employee of Telia Norway AS, and was the head of Behring & Kerner Marketing DA, which specialized in telephone services. In addition, the young man worked in a company that was engaged in the installation of advertising accounts, and for some time worked as a bank clerk. Some media outlets wrote that Andreas Breivik was even a policeman, although the “Norwegian shooter” himself denied this, claiming that he had learned shooting practice while serving in the national army.

Political beliefs

In his youth, the terrorist promoted ultra-right views, joining the ranks of the Fremskrittspartiet party. He even took part in several municipal elections as a candidate from the right.

Having reached adulthood, Breivik Anders Bering turned into an ardent nationalist who became an opponent of the peaceful coexistence of representatives of different cultures, faiths, ethnic groups and nationalities. Once he wrote in his microblog: “One person with firm convictions is equivalent in strength to thousands of others who share common interests. I am a supporter of nationalism."

The Norwegian shooter eagerly started accounts on national and anti-Muslim Internet resources, convincing everyone that creating a multicultural society is a real utopia. He also criticized journalists who were not patriotic to the Scandinavian peoples and showed tolerance for guests from the Islamic world.

Manifesto

He consolidated his national ideas in a document entitled: “2083: European Declaration of Independence”. In it, he reacted extremely negatively to the model of "cultural-Marxist multiculturalism" and expressed his unwillingness to coexist with the Islamists. The Declaration of Independence has been translated into several languages. Breivik’s manifesto in Russian is freely available, its provisions have been repeatedly discussed by representatives of the Russian public.

Psychological picture

After the terrorist attacks, police officers hastened to interview neighbors and journalists so that they would provide the most detailed information about the identity of the suspect. It became clear to them that Anders Breivik was a calm, balanced and friendly person. However, he had few friends, and he preferred not to spread to others about his life. Among the young man's hobbies included firearms, sports and dancing.

Also, the young man did not have experience in communicating with the opposite sex, finally assuring himself that the women would "knock him off the intended road."

Terrorist attack on the island

Of course, not everyone can know who Andreas Breivik is. What has this man done? This question can also be asked by people who have never heard of the “Norwegian arrow”. In any case, you need to talk about those terrible atrocities that took place through the fault of this person. At first, he made an explosion in the Norwegian capital, and after a while he went to kill people on the island of Utoya. He carefully prepared for the crime, having taken out the police uniform in advance and acquired weapons. Subsequently, the man will explain that he bought a carbine for deer hunting. As cartridges, he chose explosive bullets. At the ferry crossing, Breivik showed a fake ID and introduced himself as a security officer who was allegedly sent to the island to conduct safety briefings in connection with recent events in Oslo. After the vacationers arrived at a meeting with Breivik, he opened fire on them. Panic seized people: they were hiding behind buildings and jumping into the water to stay alive. But the “Norwegian shooter” even aimed at those who tried to swim to the other side. The teenagers were horrified by what was happening: they tried to contact friends and relatives by telephone. The offender fired for an hour and a half, after which he surrendered to law enforcement officers. The island had a huge number of casualties.

This is the cruel and unlawful act committed by 32-year-old Norwegian Andreas Breivik. What this villain did must be known to anyone who condemns terrorism.

The attack in the capital

Now let's talk about the explosion that thundered in the Norwegian capital. The radical also carefully planned the crime. He had planted a bomb in advance in a minibus, which was parked near government buildings located on Grabegata Street. Parking vehicles, Breivik was in the form of a law enforcement officer, so as not to cause any suspicions among the guards. As a result of this act of intimidation, several people died.

Investigation and trial

The Norwegian shooter did not deny his guilt in committing acts of terrorism. He motivated his actions with a simple necessity. So Breivik wanted to intimidate officials who allowed migration from the East.

A forensic psychiatric commission was appointed, which was to determine the degree of sanity of the terrorist. Experts concluded that the Norwegian radical does not give an account of his actions, so he can not serve a real sentence. Many experts were inclined to believe that the accused suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.

However, a few months later, on the initiative of the judiciary, a re-examination of the suspect's mental state was carried out, which resulted in the conclusion: Andreas Breivik is not crazy. Psychiatrist Friedrich Malt, who was involved in the criminal process, emphasized that the terrorist has some mental disorders, but we are not talking about schizophrenia.

In April 2012, a hearing was held on the fact of terrorist acts in Norway. The verdict was harsh: Breivik is guilty and must spend 21 years of his subsequent life in a maximum security prison.

Isolation conditions

In fairness, it should be noted that the conditions of the "Norwegian shooter" in prison are very sparing, despite the severity of the crimes he committed. He lives in a fairly spacious cell (31 sq. M.), Which includes a bedroom, a gym, an office with a TV. Breivik can not communicate with other criminals, only with prison staff, and then once a week and no more than an hour.

Such conditions of isolation from society seemed inhuman to the terrorist, and he filed a lawsuit in the court, in which he demanded that they stop feeding him semi-finished products and serve cool coffee. In addition, he was not satisfied with the outdated model of the game console. But the main complaint was that he was not allowed to communicate with friends.

The court partially recognized the claims of the Norwegian radical.
