History

At the next meeting in 2011, it was decided to extend the Zamoskvoretskaya line, due to which a new Khovrino station (metro) should appear in Moscow. When its discovery will take place, then they still haven’t decided for sure, since the construction completion date was postponed several times.

In 2013, the Moscow Land Commission approved the draft plan and provided for a commissioning period at the end of 2016. Initially, the metro was to be called “Dybenko Street”, after the name of the street bordering the entrances to the subway. But by popular demand of Muscovites, the mayor of the capital decided that it would be the Khovrino station, named after the eponymous district where it is located.

Description

This new metro has a two-span shallow pillar construction. The island platform will be quite wide and equal to ten meters. The Khovrino station should have a couple of vestibules with exits to the underground pedestrian crossings and associated with escalator walkways. In addition, the new metro plans to make an intercepting parking designed for more than a thousand cars.

The walls, ceiling, and paved floor will be decorated with visual squares, which should form the components of the reinforced concrete frame. According to the plans of architects, the Khovrino station should have only light and brown shades in its design.

Location

The new metro will be located in the western part of Dybenko Street, where it intersects with ul. Zelenogradskaya near houses with numbers 34 and 38. The Khovrino station is thus located just a few hundred meters from the Businovskaya interchange, giving rise to New Leningradka, and not far from the Moscow Ring Road.

It is planned that bus No. 400E, which currently runs between Zelenograd and the River Station, will have to pass by the new metro.

Outputs

The lobby located in the northern part of the station will lead to the territory of the designed transport and landing hub. Also, from the subway it will be possible to exit on the street Dybenko opposite her 42nd house or on the same street, only near the Coastal passage. All lobbies will be connected to the subway platform.

The value of the new station

The Khovrino station (metro) is very important for the capital. When its opening takes place, transport services for residents of the northern part of Moscow will immediately improve. After the start of operation of this metro, the excess load in the Rechnoy Vokzal metro area will decrease by half, and the Leningradskoye Shosse will be unloaded.

When this subway starts working, people who come to Moscow via the M11 motorway by their own transport will be able to leave the car at an intercepting parking lot. Further towards the center of the capital, they can follow the northeast chord of the subway or transfer to another public transport.
