In the valley of the Vyatka River in northeastern Russia, the city of Kirov is located. It is located in the European part of Russia and is the cultural, historical and industrial center of the Urals. Ecology
More than half a million people live in Kirov. There are a lot of forests in the Kirov region, so the city has clean fresh air, which is no longer polluted by the exhausts of the Chepetsk Chemical Plant. But the Vyatka River is heavily polluted by industrial waste. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the population of the city drinks water from this river, which, when purified, is generously saturated with chlorine.
