The Philharmonic, in any case, is associated with a cultural society, the promotion of art and a sense of beauty. Having more than 75 years of history, the Orenburg Philharmonic has hosted thousands of concerts and festival events, has done a tremendous educational work with the people.
Creating a Philharmonic
During the war years, many cultural institutions were evacuated from the capitals. So, the Leningrad Academic Maly Theater M.P. was taken out of the siege city. Mussorgsky, who, after three years in the province, contributed to the organization of his own city theater.
Known as Chkalov, the city had only the Concert and Variety Bureau, which was outdated and required modernization. Chkalovskaya, and later the Orenburg State Philharmonic, was officially established in 1943. The artists were fighters of the front and rear. Despite the acute situation, collectives began to form, for example, a choir of folk songs.
Pride of the Orenburg region
The very Russian folk choir that arose in wartime became the real property of Orenburg. When musical art began to gain momentum again, in the 50s the Orenburg Academic Choir of Russian Folk Songs was founded. He glorified the culture of the region, the team was repeatedly exported to neighboring republics and quickly gained recognition.
Until now, the choir exists as an integral part of the philharmonic society, often appears on the posters of Orenburg and recruits people of different ages to study.
Creative way
The Orenburg Philharmonic reached its peak in the 80s. She was allocated a picturesque building in the central district of Orenburg. Over the years, the cultural center has been replaced by several leaders, including: outstanding cultural workers L.D. Bronsky, K.I. Kostyushin, O.A. Aziev, A.K. Gabrielov. At present, the director of the Orenburg Philharmonic is Igor Golikov, correspondent of the International Academy of Culture and Art, a diploma winner of the Vivat, Maestro Prize, and an honored Russian cultural figure. He took up his post back in 1983, and the status and popularity of the place remains and holds at the level until now.
The scene has seen many talented artists and famous groups. Pyatnitsky’s choir has performed here more than once, the outstanding voices of Russia: L. Zykina, A. Nasedkin, D. Matsuev, V. Tretyakov and others. Symphony Orchestra E. Svetlanova continues to regularly perform in the Philharmonic.
Also, the Orenburg Philharmonic has many conceptual projects that collect the talents of Russia and the world, are of interest to citizens and guests. Every year since 1988, a folklore art festival has been held, named after the famous Orenburg shawl. Since 1996, the Eurasia Jazz Festival has been hosting foreign talents. Classical music deserved special attention at the festival "Symphony of the steppe Palmyra." That is, the platform lives a busy life, offers events for any listener.
Versatile composition
The Philharmonic has several independent blocks. Today it includes:
- Russian folk choir of Orenburg;
- chamber orchestra;
- ensemble "Discomobile", teaching variety dance under the guidance of Honored Artist of Russia A. Zolotarev;
- children's clubs: songs and dances "Zernyshko", the choir school "New Names", the instrumental ensemble "Carousel" and an experimental creative group;
- divertissement collective performing modern and ancient music.
In addition to creative and concert activities, the Orenburg Philharmonic promotes educational events. People far from academic education can hear accessible information on musical literature, history, and theory. Recruitment into several groups is underway under the guidance of musicologists N. Pitetskaya, A. Zazulin, A. Frolov and E. Kislyuk. The lecture hall collects residents of the region who are not indifferent to music.
