Family and youth of the actor
Hossein Robert was born in the very center of France, in Paris. In 1927, he was born into the family of Anna Minkovskaya and Andre Hossein. His mother was born in the Ukrainian capital, but soon her parents moved to St. Petersburg, and then left for Germany. It was Anna who taught her son to speak Russian. Robert still understands this language perfectly. Both father and mother of the boy were talented musicians. Hossein's family was rather poor. Due to the fact that Andre was not able to pay for his son’s studies, Robert had to change more than one school. Meanwhile, Anna went to serve in the troupe of the immigrant theater, and therefore the future actor preferred to spend all her free time at her work.
Hossein Robert at the age of 15 began to attend the theater club. Then he entered the courses of Ren Simon. After the training was completed, he began performing at the “horror theater” in Paris. It was in this institution that he gained the experience of a director and actor. Here he acted as the director of a number of performances.

Hossein Robert made his movie debut in 1954. It was a film by R. Kadenak “Embankment of the Blondes”. And a year later, the actor removed his first independent tape, which was called "Scoundrels Go to Hell." Robert maintained close friendships with spouse Bridget Bardot Roger Vadim. Thanks to this partnership, Hossein was invited by Vadim to such paintings as Don Juan 73, Vice and Virtue, and Who Knows.
Robert Hossein, whose films in France are incredibly popular, directed the work “Death of a Killer” and “Point of Fall”. In these tapes, he played some roles.
