All the people made a scarecrow of straw, which became the symbol of Shrovetide. He was carried around the village, and then burned so that the crop was rich, ailments were gone, and the people lived in peace and prosperity. Tuesday was considered a "tune" - it was the most favorite day for young people. Everywhere fun games, songs, dances were arranged. Sadness was a bad omen this week!

Traditions and customs were revered in the old days. So, it was accepted that the eldest woman in the house always went to the river (well) and shouted for a month so that he would give happiness to the whole family! When the pancakes are cooked, then the first - do not eat. This is a tribute to the departed members of the clan. He was carried out into the street and asked the dead to feast on. Shrovetide was accompanied by another beautiful custom - forgiveness. After the evening meal, all members of the clan asked for forgiveness from each other, granted him. Everything that was evil or bad remained in the past. Life began anew - with the pure energy of rebirth! So that grievances are forgotten, and quarrels do not arise, it was customary not to remove from the table. The rest of the meal was covered with a white cloth and left until the morning.
