Every animal and plant on Earth is unique. Over the centuries-old history of human civilization, a huge number of representatives of the animal world have disappeared from the face of the Earth. But even more are still at risk of total extermination. Rare and endangered plants and animals can forever remain only on posters and in our memories, if we do not take care of them. Our planet has not yet been fully studied, and every year new representatives of flora and fauna appear, but much more than those who are on the verge of extinction.

Ararip manakin is a small bird with amazing black-and-white-red color of feathers. It is found only in Brazil on the Ararip Plateau. A little more than 500 individuals remained in the world. Other rare animals are Javanese rhinos. These majestic and graceful animals have long been gone in the wild. Only in Indonesia National Park can you observe them in their natural habitat. The trouble with these amazing creatures is that the skin, meat, bones and horns supposedly have healing properties. For which they were mercilessly destroyed for quite some time.

Rafetus Piling - the rarest animals! These unique soft-bodied turtles, which have been a symbol of Vietnam for more than five centuries, barely escaped the sad fate of remaining only depicted in paintings and photographs. In the world there are no more than 4 individuals of these animals. The mysterious, secretive and graceful saola is one of the last mammals discovered by scientists a little more than 20 years ago. These are the rarest animals. Nobody still knows how many individuals live in nature, and out of a small number of captured specimens in captivity, not one survived.

But not only the fauna is being destroyed, many species of plants and herbs are also dying. Few people can already say that they saw a clearing of snowdrops or a field of edelweiss. And the famous red camellia? This luxurious and fragrant flower today is preserved in only two copies.

Nature is the world in which a person is born, with the help of which he cognizes his environment. It is necessary to treat nature not just with respect. We must understand that there is nothing infinite in it, if we do not preserve the riches with which she has gifted us, they will run out. Endangered and rare animal species are an essential part of the great life cycle of our universe. Social measures taken: national parks, reserves, wildlife sanctuaries - this is not all that a person can do to preserve the entire diversity of the animal and plant world on the planet. There are too many poachers for whom the rarest animals are just another trophy, many lovers to cut off the blooming glades of daisies and thoughtlessly ruin their beauty.

Nature has no bad or unnecessary species. Absolutely everything is needed to maintain balance. And it doesn’t matter at all whether they are numerous or not. For many millions of years of the planet’s existence, animals and plants have adapted to each other, learned to live together. And if we break this amazing connection, they will leave us forever.
