The guy never indulged in his parents, and that is why from the age of thirteen he began to work in a candy store on a dough. This institution belonged to the parents of a friend of Pete, and therefore the guy at such a young age was easily accepted for a part-time job.

Pete Evans did not know how to cook, and the promotion in the shop did not shine on him. He began to realize that it would be nice to open his own business for cooking, it could bring a good income. Since Pete loved to fish, and there were a lot of fish in the ocean, he got the idea to work with fish dishes.

Pete knew that for any business he would still need money, and decided not to leave his job. He also rolled out the dough at a pastry shop at night, and spent his time calmly on the Coral Sea during the day, getting seafood for cooking for sale.

Pete Evans was very purposeful from early childhood, he was never lazy, which is why soon the guy began to progress in a new art for him. He cooked according to proven recipes, and created new ones.

Pete was not even twenty years old, but he was already successfully developing his own business. The name of the joint restaurant is "Pantry for groceries." He soon became one of the best on the coast of Port Philippe Bay.

The brothers realized that their talent was truly unique, and this prompted them to conquer Sydney. They were joined by another fan of delicious cooking - friend Daniel.

In 1996, young and ambitious chefs marked the beginning of the Hugo Restaurant Group. Sydney has become a real gold mine, and within one year the guys have achieved the development of a whole network of restaurants, which included not only expensive establishments, but also more budget-friendly catering venues, as well as event-enterprises specializing in various events.

The network has been successfully developed, restaurants were visited not only by locals and tourists, but also famous people. The fame of these institutions soon spread throughout the world.

The guys also flourished. Pete Evans was able to acquire a large house on the outskirts of Sydney, allowing himself to live to the fullest, without giving up the most expensive things.

Soon Pete and his institutions began to be awarded the most elite titles, and he even received the Chef's Caps award, considered the most prestigious in Australia.

Evans continued to improve his skills, and he had unique recipes for making pizza. "Pizza a la Pete Evans" was the best in the world according to the jury of the competition, held in New York.

Work on television

Pete's achievements were recognized around the world, and many television channels began to seek his participation in their cooking shows. Evans says that he feels out of place in front of a large number of people, and for this reason he refused to shoot. However, the Lifestyle channel somehow found an approach to the famous restaurateur, and for five seasons Pete led the Home Series program.

In the future, Pete began to appear on television more often, and the show "Postcards from home" about travels he led from different parts of the world in the company of the most famous chefs. Later, realizing that television is a real way to express themselves and advertise their establishments, Pete participates in a show where, together with a friend, they travel and eat only caught fish, cooked at the stake with their own hands.

This project has become one of the highest rated and brought them real success.
