Richard Gorn (real name Dmitry, surname unknown) - Ukrainian choreographer and artist. Since 2014, he has been one of the jury members of the show "New" channel "Supermodel in Ukrainian". In addition, he was a judge of the ninth season of the project “Everybody Dance” at STB.
Biography
Richard Gorn was born in Zaporozhye, in 1980, on January 7. From childhood, he sought to realize himself in creativity and began with the creation of plasticine figures. Later, this hobby was replaced by painting. It was difficult to find like-minded people in Gornu’s hometown, so he tried to attend various Ukrainian exhibitions outside Zaporozhye, while simultaneously studying art history.
Start and career development
As a 17-year-old, Richard was seriously interested in dancing. At first he gained experience in the studios, then he began to work as a choreographer. Then there was a passion for literature. In the 2000s, Horn was a fan of Salvador Dali. The consequence of this was the creation of his first surrealistic dance performance “The Madness of the Space of I”. The performance took place in the night club "Owl" in Zaporozhye. Those present appreciated the show, despite the fact that its non-standard was quite risky. This performance became a visiting card of the beginning choreographer Richard Gorn.
Soon he was lucky to work on the numbers of such artists as Irina Bilyk, Natalya Mogilevskaya, Sergey Zverev, Olya Polyakova, the Tatu duo, Zombie Boy, etc. In parallel, Horn was developing a program for his new show.
In 2008, the debut performance of Richard’s own ballet, Free Love Party, took place in Kiev. The show, which again found an echo in the hearts of the majority of those present, was called "Alice in the country of the grotesque."
Later, Richard Gorn presented to the public surrealistic programs "Designer Poisoning", "Pea Kingdom" and others. Then the choreographer renamed his ballet to PopGorn. In 2011, this dance group was named the best in Ukraine. Today, Horn pays a lot of attention to vocals.
As for painting, Richard is an opponent of typical art exhibitions. He is confident that in this way it is almost impossible to fully convey the message of his work. In this regard, the artist held his first exhibition, “Flight of the Bee Around Me, ” in a restaurant. In the foreseeable future, Richard Horn plans to organize a demonstration of paintings on the streets of Kiev, which, in his opinion, should bring people closer to modern art.
Project “Supermodel in Ukrainian”
In 2014, he managed to go through a casting and become one of the four experts of this television show. During the filming of SPMU, Horn was a strict but fair mentor of future models. One of the participants in the first season of Rogovenko Vlad decided at the age of 20 to undergo the baptism procedure. The girl chose Richard as her godfather, because he helped her find the right path, while giving practical advice. In turn, for the expert, this event was also a serious step, since Horn is a believer. In addition to Vlada, he has two more godchildren.
