News feeds and the media regularly provide information on what the current situation is in Syria. This topic has been one of the hottest for several years. What are the important events in a distant country? How can they affect the lives of Russia and its citizens? Why is the whole world watching the stubborn struggle of Bashar al-Assad? Let's get it right.

How to tie a knot

Syria was once a prosperous country. Since 1971, it was led by Hafez al-Assad, who received a Sunni education. The policy of his administration was aimed at the prosperity of citizens.

The support of his people was almost unprecedented. In the elections, over ninety-six percent of voters voted for this person. One of the mistakes of Khavez al-Assad is the new constitution of the state. It was written in it that the president of the country does not have to be a Muslim. The radicals did not just harshly criticize this position. With arms in their hands they tried to change the power in the country. Although in those days the situation in Syria did not cause much concern. Representatives of various religions calmly coexisted in the country. Radical Muslims were more likely to be marginalized than a serious social force. However, this small movement suddenly found "curators."

And then it turned out that in Syria "there is not enough democracy"

It is not easy to destabilize a rich country with a cohesive population, and even faithful allies. The situation in Syria began to deteriorate after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Islamic extremists, encouraged by overseas curators, began to act more openly and brutally. The aggravation manifested itself most strongly after the fall of Libya, the change of power in Iraq. These Muslim countries lived by their own rules. In general, this is a special world. In order to establish stability in society, in such states it is necessary to find consensus between many forces. This refers to various ethnic and religious groups, “families”, clans, and so on. Together they build relationships in a multifaceted and complex society. But the curators of Muslim extremists did not care about these subtleties. They had their own goals and objectives. The cities of Syria, as well as the city’s gradlan, have become hostages of the “alien game”.

The true causes of conflict

There is a lot of talk about what is happening in Syria. But all the information comes down mainly to a description of the hostilities and a listing of the settlements that have passed from the control of the government to militants, and vice versa. The horrors of war sometimes hide from the viewer and listener the true causes of the conflict. In fact, a favorable situation in Syria was not needed by those who considered all the oil reserves of the planet to be their property. Overseas tycoons have long nurtured a plan to connect the Arabian fields and European consumers of raw materials with a pipeline. Syria, the center of the Arab world, stands in their way. They need chaos in this territory so that no one can interfere with the implementation of their ideas. For this, the so-called ISIS has been created and put into effect.

Incomprehensible war

The world media is rather one-sidedly presenting what is happening in Syria. Their task is to inspire the viewer with an aversion to the country's leader Bashar al-Assad. They paint the suffering of the population, without mentioning the true culprits. However, the facts are stubborn. Through any obstacles they break into the information spaces. The Syrian army keeps the situation in the country under control. Yes, really permanently, extremist militants gain victories, capture a particular locality. However, they cannot keep territories for a long time. The Syrian army knocks them out of the cities, drives around the country. Neither American instructors nor modern tanks help. Syria supports the president. Almost the entire population is fighting against militants.

The political situation in Syria

This question, as in any other country in the Middle East, is the most complex. The situation in Syria is complicated by the fact that adherents of various religions live on its territory. The Sunnis, to which President Bashar al-Assad belongs, support his policy unconditionally. But the Kurds, long striving to create their own state, are prone to separatist sentiments and actions. Moreover, their views are encouraged from abroad. In fact, at the moment, Syria is surrounded by enemies. Turkey supports the Kurds. There is no strong power in Iraq. Israel is afraid of militants, trying to push the problem away from its borders. Surrounding states with the approval of Washington from time to time conduct military operations in Syria. Assad has to keep almost a circular defense.

Action tactics

To overthrow the current Syrian regime, the curators tried to create their own "opposition" state. They followed such tactics in Libya. But Assad, with the support of the army and the population, was too tough for them. Militants cannot hold any meaningful territory that would allow the whole world to announce the creation of an opposition government. Assad’s troops are fighting fiercely, forcing the extremists to retreat. The only thing the latter managed to become famous for is animal cruelty. It is clear that they do not add love for themselves on the part of the people in this way. The tactics of warfare by them also puzzles the military. They fly into villages without training or any purpose. Robbed, killed and rolled back into the "den". It seems that their goal is to keep the population in fear so that they have neither the strength nor the desire to build a peaceful life. In such conditions, for several years now, all of Syria has been located. Militants often fly from abroad, then, unable to withstand a retaliatory strike, retire.

Syria and Israel

Who leads the militants is no secret. Their puppeteers are located in the USA. When extremists lose their “fighting spirit”, a team follows from Washington in the direction of one of the allies. So, Israel inflicted airstrikes on Syrian territory. Officially, this was explained by the fact that Syria allegedly helps the Hezbollah group. However, Bashar al-Assad appreciated these actions correctly. He said that Israel, with the US filing, tried to reassure the militants who had lost their enthusiasm. Syria, according to its president, is ready to wage war with this enemy. The country's armed forces were immediately concentrated on the border with Israel. Assad supported Iran through diplomatic channels, which was a serious help in the confrontation with Israel.

Syria and Turkey

Erdogan’s position in this conflict is considered by many to be stalemate. On the one hand, he considers Assad to be almost a personal enemy. Erdogan supports the Kurds living on its territory in the war for the liberation of those fellow tribesmen who are located beyond the Syrian borders. On the other hand, he is well aware that, having entered into a confrontation with the armed forces, he will set up against Russia Turkey supporting Assad against Turkey. And in the current situation, Erdogan is not profitable to quarrel with Putin. It remains for Turkey to limit itself to warlike rhetoric and secret support of the opposition. So, Erdogan said that Assad uses chemical weapons, as well as organizes terrorist attacks in Turkish cities. But things do not go further than rhetoric.
