Valery Mikhailovich Zubov was born in 1953 on May 9 in the village of Novospasskoye, Pervomaisky District, Tambov Region. Parents were geologists. In 1971, on the advice of his parents, he went to Moscow and entered the S. Ordzhonikidze Geological Institute. But after he realized that geology did not appeal to him, in 1973 he transferred to the Plekhanov Institute in Moscow with a specialization in Planning in the National Economy. He graduated from the institute in 1977, and in 1978 he left to serve in the army.

So, after serving in the army, he returned to graduate school at the Plekhanov Institute and in 1982 defended his thesis for further development in the research field. Then he went to his small homeland in Krasnoyarsk.

Teaching and social activities

In 1988, Zubov moved to Moscow and entered the doctoral program of the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics. So, in 1991 Valery Mikhailovich Zubov defended his thesis and received his doctorate.

Despite the political orientation of life, Valery Mikhailovich in the late 90s became deputy director of the stock exchange in Krasnoyarsk, related to operations with securities. And he also created his own exchange called “Troika”.

In parallel, he was a professor at Krasnoyarsk State University, where he taught at the department of socio-economic planning. During his teaching career he became the author of 27 scientific articles.

Governor

Having earned authority in the political sphere, in 1992 Valery Mikhailovich was offered to become deputy head of the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where he was responsible for managing the region. Having succeeded in their work, they raise it and provide a new opportunity for development in the political sphere. He is appointed acting head of administration. After a while, in 1993, Valery Mikhailovich became governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Since 1996, the post of head of the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has been renamed the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. So he became the second governor of the Land. Also in 1993, he became a nominee for the Federation Council from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. His political activity does not end there. Political career in the State Duma

In 2000, Valery Mikhailovich was elected to the State Duma, where he was responsible for the budget. In 2001, he was elected a member of three political sections responsible for relations with Japan, Canada and Kazakhstan.

In 2002, Valery Mikhailovich was elected head of the Committee on Financial Markets. He also became a member of the drafting committee dealing with legislation in the field of the law “On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation”.

Having resigned as a deputy from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, he again submits his candidacy and passes to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, where he becomes the head of the Committee of the Security Council of the Russian Federation in the economic sphere. It was in this position that Valery Mikhailovich Zubov joined the United Russia party. In 2005, he left her and supported the Republican Party, becoming a member of the political council.

In 2007, he joined the Just Russia party, from which he later ran for the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. And he also submitted his candidacy to the State Duma from the Just Russia party, where he was responsible for economic policy and entrepreneurship. When the term of deputy powers expired, he again submitted his candidacy for elections to the Legislative Assembly. Valery Mikhailovich for his deputy activity stood out because he was against the law banning the adoption of orphans by citizens of other countries. And also did not participate in the vote on the consideration of the unification of the Crimea and the Russian Federation.
