The distant 90s is the time of crazy fashion, tamagotchi, replacing pets, grandmothers selling seeds, and lots of other interesting things. There was no Internet then, and therefore we had fun as we could: we kept profiles, mastered the basics of parkour in garages, played tetris. Most of the things from that time have already disappeared, but in the memory of this generation they remained forever, embodied in the list of things from the 90s (with photo) - for nostalgia! Although, to be honest, these are not so much things as memories that warm the soul.
Inserts
Chewing gum from the 90s of the last century were incredibly tough, but they were still popular among children and adolescents. "What is the reason?" - ask? The fact is that in each of them there was an insert that could be pasted into an album with its own collection. Among the most popular were Turbo chewing gums, on the inserts of which were depicted cars. Chewing gum was also released, named after the famous cartoon characters: Mickey Mouse, the Pink Panther, and even ninja turtles. A little later they were replaced by the series Love Is, which remains popular today.
Plastic rainbow
Among the most popular things from the 90s and walking spring-rainbow. In general, it was invented in 1943. Then the engineer of the naval forces of the United States of America, Richard James, accidentally dropped the twisted wire to the floor during an experiment with springs. The wire began to flip amusingly and bounce, so two years later, James and his wife launched the production of a children's toy called "slinky." Rainbow springs reached our country only in the nineties. They could be thrown from hand to hand, thus calming your nerves and listening to the crack of rings. The unique ability of this spring can be called the ability to step down the stairs. In addition, the diameter of the rings made it possible to wear it on the wrist. True, quite often the spring became entangled, losing its truly magical properties.
Profiles
Another unique thing from the 90s that deserves attention is the questionnaire. It is worth recalling these thick notebooks with numerous questions and tasks. In them one could tell about one's dreams, favorite films and groups, there were personal questions in profiles, for example, “which of the boys do you like”. Of course, usually girls wrote only names, but to guess who was in question was not difficult. By the way, psychologists say: the phenomenon of questionnaires is the same as the phenomenon of social networks today. With their help, it was possible to make a portrait of a person, find out his secrets and get some candy wrappers, stickers or incredibly primitive, but sincere quatrains.
Instant drinks
Surely even today, after almost two decades, many remember an advertisement in which a peppy voice hummed “Just add water!”. In the 90s of the last century, drinks that could be quickly diluted were simply incredible success among young people. “UPI” and “Invite” slightly resembled lemonade to your taste, and “Zuko”, which looked like real juice, was a higher class, and it cost more.
Tetris
This puzzle game can be called a truly iconic thing from the 90s. Children and adults around the world sought to flip blocks in the game in such a way as to get rid of horizontal rows and score as many points as possible. At the end of the last century, Tetris was released in the form of a separate rectangular console, the player had the opportunity to choose the level of difficulty and even musical accompaniment. Now the former glory of Tetris is in the past, but this game is familiar to everyone, because it can be installed on your phone or computer.
