Oleg Korchikov: the beginning of the way

The actor, whose contribution to the development of domestic cinema is difficult to underestimate, was born in the Primorsky Territory. It happened in January 1939. Oleg Korchikov comes from a simple family, there are no movie stars among his relatives. Little is known about the childhood of this talented person.

Oleg studied well at school, gave preference to exact sciences. Also, the boy was seriously involved in sports, or rather saber fencing. Behind him are many victories in city, regional and republican competitions. After graduation, the young man decided to continue his education at the UPI at the physics and technology department. However, his interest in the world of dramatic art prevailed over his love for the exact sciences.

Study, theater

Oleg Korchikov began his path to fame by playing amateur performances. The first roles did not bring him fame, only stormy applause from the audience, however, they helped to finally decide on the choice of a profession. On the first attempt, a talented young man managed to enter LGITMiK. He graduated from this prestigious educational institution in 1967.

Oleg Glebovich was looking for his own theater until 1988. It was then that the Maxim Gorky National Theater opened its doors to the actor. On stage, he lived rather than played, put his soul into each of his characters. Korchikov never had a clearly defined role; he coped equally well with comedic and dramatic roles.
