Actor Roman Ageev was born in 1974 in the city of Polar Dawns, located in the Murmansk region. Roma's father and mother were very strict parents and often punished him. Studying in St. Petersburg
Even at school, Roman became interested in theater, determined to become an actor by all means. To this end, in 1994 he went to St. Petersburg to realize his dream. Having successfully passed the entrance exams, the young man became a student at the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts, where he studied at the course of Semyon Spivak.
Carier start
After graduating from SPbGATI in 1999, the actor joined the State Youth Theater on the Fontanka. There, the actor worked for 6 years.

First steps to the cinema
1999 was a debut year for Ageev in terms of his film career. Roman’s first work on television was the role of the bandit Lobaz in the film Gangster Petersburg.
Especially fruitful for the young actor was the year 2000, when he starred in the TV series "Empire under attack" and "Deadly Force." The last project has become quite significant for him, as in this series the actor starred from 2000 to 2007 inclusive. In addition, in 2000, he received a minor role in the film “The Garden was Full of the Moon, ” which spoke about the love triangle of very elderly people. In this film, his partners were the stars of Soviet cinema Lev Durov, Nikolai Volkov and Zinaida Sharko.
Further movie career
In 2001, the young actor was invited to star in the movie "Sisters." In this picture, in which Oksana Akinshina and Sergey Bodrov starred, he appeared before the audience as the criminal authority of Alik. This work in the film, which critics recognized as a real masterpiece of the new Russian cinema, brought him a certain popularity, and he began to receive more often an offer from filmmakers.
The film "Garden"
One of the significant roles of actor Roman Ageev was the image of the merchant Lopakhin in the comedy of Sergei Ovcharov based on the play by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. The film "Garden" caused great controversy among critics, many of whom called the work of the director innovative. Both experts and viewers praised Ageev’s game. In their opinion, he created a very reliable image of a rich young peasant who could not cope with his complexes.
