The famous artist was born in the city of Vladimir in 1946, although he speaks of himself as a Petersburger, since it was in St. Petersburg that the best years of his life passed. If the boy’s parents were not representatives of creative professions, no one can say if Vadim Yakovlev, the actor, would be known to the public. The family of the child was firmly connected with the theater in which his father played. The childhood of the star literally passed behind the curtains, his favorite entertainment was the decoration of himself with makeup.
The boy’s mother, who worked as an artist, also had a creative profession. The actor’s brother followed her example, so Vadim constantly had to pose while one of his relatives painted his portrait. By the way, he himself also achieved notable successes in drawing.
