Vitaly Matveev is a Soviet and Russian film figure. He starred in movies and TV shows, and also worked as a dubbing actor. During his long creative career, a native of the Kirov region played in 44 cinematographic projects, including the feature films “Brother”, “Youth of Peter”, “There is no ford on fire”, “At the beginning of glorious deeds” and the series “Secret Fairway”, “Agent National Security ”, “ Alaska Kid. ” Films with Vitaly Matveev belong to the genres of drama, comedy, melodrama. Biography

Vitaly Matveev was born in the Kirov region on January 1, 1936 (USSR) in the family of Matveev Ivan Mitrofanovich, a worker who was subsequently awarded two Orders of Glory for his accomplishments during the Great Patriotic War. The mother of the future actor was called Olga Pavlovna.

In the mid-50s, he studied at VGIK with a teacher S. A. Gerasimov. Together with him behind the student bench were the future stars of Soviet and Russian cinema: L. Gurchenko, Z. Kiriyenko, Natalya Fateeva. After graduating, got a job at the Lenfilm film studio. Colleagues called Vitaly Matveyev Mateo - after the name of one of the heroes played by him in his youth.

It is known that he composed poetry and prose, however, he never published his works anywhere. He was fond of repairing radio equipment and wall clocks. In the so-called years of perestroika, he actively participated in socio-political actions that took place at that time in the city of Leningrad.

In the mid-90s, he joined the Union of Cinematographers of Russia. Thanks to his work and efforts, a memorial plaque dedicated to Sergey Gerasimov was installed in the city of St. Petersburg, which was placed on the house where the master of cinematography lived with T.F. Makarova in the pre-war years.

In 2010, on October 2, actor Vitaly Matveev was gone. The actor in his will asked to cremate his body and bury him next to the graves of his parents in the Kirov region, which was fulfilled.

This is a story in which the main character, an elderly person, a writer, plunges into the world of his memories, mentally returns to the time of his formation as a person.
