Childhood

Dyumin Alexey Gennadievich was born in August 1972 in the administrative center of the Kursk region. His father, Gennady Vasilyevich, is a military physician who currently has the rank of general. Mother is a teacher by profession. In addition to Alexei, there was another child in the family - Artyom.

As a child, Alexei Dyumin, due to the characteristics of his father’s military profession, was forced to live in various cities of the RSFSR: in Kursk, Kaluga, Voronezh. Moreover, far from always living conditions were acceptable. So, in Kaluga, the family had to live for some time in the basement of a military hospital.

After moving to Voronezh, life got a little better. In this city, from the fourth grade, Alexei Dyumin began to actively engage in hockey. The family approvingly accepted this hobby, especially since he showed good hopes in this sport. At the end of school, Dyumin even received an offer to play for the Buran team from Voronezh, but, like his father, he chose a military path. However, as we will see later, he still didn’t completely break with hockey. The biography of Alexei Dyumin remained closely associated with this sport.

Service

After graduating from the Voronezh school, Alexey entered the local higher military school (VVIUER), where he successfully completed his studies in 1994.

After graduation, Dyumin Alexey Gennadievich was sent to military service in the Moscow district. Here his task was the technical support of counterintelligence.

These were the initial steps of Alexei Dyumin in the service of the Russian Federation, but he managed to accomplish much more later, which will be discussed later.

Work in the FSO

In 1995, thanks to his father’s connections, he went to work in the Federal Security Service, one of the country's top secret services. From this moment, the biography of Alexei Dyumin is firmly connected with work with high-ranking statesmen, one of which he himself became in the future.

At first, Alexey Gennadievich worked in the presidential communications department of the GUO, but since 1999, in the officer’s rank, he joined the President’s Security Service. This was a very responsible position, as his duties included ensuring the protection of the first person of the country. But with all the tasks Dyumin did perfectly.

The successes of the promising officer were noticed, and in 2007 he became the security chief of Viktor Zubkov, who at that time was the Prime Minister of Russia. However, soon after the end of his presidency, Vladimir Putin took over as head of government. With him, Dyumin became an adjutant, and then head of the personal guard. In 2009, Alesei Gennadevich accompanied Vladimir Vladimirovich during his visit to the Seliger forum, which took place in the Tver region.

In the same year, Dyumin defended his thesis at the Academy of Public Administration, the theme of which was devoted to the functioning of the G8. Undoubtedly, this was another brick that laid the foundation for his future career as a civil servant and politician.

In 2012, Alexei Dyumin was waiting for a new increase. He received the position of deputy chief of the President’s Security Service. Already at this post, Dyumin accompanied the head of state during his trip to Kyrgyzstan.

Work at the GRU

In 2014, Alexey Dyumin was transferred to work in the Main Intelligence Directorate. He became deputy chief of the organization and commander of the Special Operations Forces. He worked there for a short period of time, but the tasks that confronted Dyumin were of paramount importance.

He took an active part in the operation to annex Crimea to Russia. In addition, according to several journalists, it was Dyumin who designed and directed the operation to evacuate President Yanukovych from Ukraine. Although Alexey Gennadievich himself does not recognize the latter fact.

Jobs at the Ministry of Defense

In 2015, General Dyumin Aleksey Gennadevich joined the Ministry of Defense. He was appointed chief of staff, and at the same time first deputy commander in chief of the Ground Forces. At the end of the same year, he changed the rank of major general to the rank of lieutenant general.

Before the new year 2016, Alexey Dyumin was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense. This position gave him the right to join the College of Defense.

Governor Appointment

But he worked as deputy defense minister, Aleksey Gennadevich, for just over one month. At the beginning of February 2016, the President of Russia appointed him Acting Governor. Alexey Dyumin admitted to the press that this was a surprise even for him.

The background to this appointment was that the former governor of the Tula region, Vladimir Gruzdev, had resigned ahead of schedule. When appointing a new head of this subject of the Federation, the choice of Vladimir Putin fell on a former security officer. However, under the new legislation, the governor is elected by the population of the region by direct vote, which was scheduled for September 18, 2016 throughout Russia. Therefore, Alexey Gennadievich took up this position with the prefix interim.

However, the acting head of the region coped with the tasks very successfully. This allowed him to declare in the summer of 2016 his desire to run for election as governor of the Tula region. These elections were held in September of that year. As their result showed, the population of the region expressed full confidence in Alexei Dyumin. During the election for the post of Tula governor, he scored almost 85% of the total number of votes. Now Alexey Dyumin - the governor of the Tula region at 100%. Time will show how Alexey Gennadievich will justify the hopes of voters.

Putin's successor

A fairly rapid rise was the reason for talk in the press that Alexei Dyumin is Putin's successor. A significant role in these rumors was played by the fact that at the moment Dyumin is one of the most trusted people of Vladimir Vladimirovich. In addition, we can say that the former presidential security officer has outstanding personal qualities, as evidenced by his active participation in the development of operations to join the Crimea and the evacuation of Yanukovych. Another trump card is his youth.

The press noted the rise of Dyumin in a fairly short time from the post of senior security guard to the deputy minister of defense, and the head of the country's most important special operations. The only thing that Dyumin lacked was the experience of civic leadership. But after he became governor of the Tula region, this experience appeared, and over time it will increase even more. Therefore, one should not exclude the possibility that in the next presidential election in 2018, Vladimir Putin may refuse to participate in the struggle for the post of head of state, supporting just Alexei Dyumin.

This version also hit the pages of the foreign press, in particular, was voiced in the British newspaper The Daily Mail.

Awards

During the time spent in the service of the Armed Forces of Russia, the FSO and the GRU, Aleksey Dyumin was many times awarded with awards of various levels.

Alexey Gennadievich is the owner of the orders “For Merit to the Fatherland” of I and III degrees, the order “For Courage”, medals of Suvorov, “In memory of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan”, “For the return of Crimea”, “For distinction in military service”. While working at the FSO, he also received the medal “For Valor”; the Russian Ministry of Emergencies awarded Alexei Dyumin the medal “For Commonwealth”.

In addition, Alexey Dyumin is the owner of the highest rank in the country - Hero of Russia. To date, only 1, 037 people have been awarded this title since 1992, when it was established. There is no official data when and for what Alexey Gennadievich received this award, but there are rumors that he got it for the flawless conduct of operations to annex the Crimea and save Yanukovych.

Of course, all these differences and awards are a clear reflection of the contribution that Alexey Dyumin made to the construction and strengthening of the Russian Federation for the benefit of its people. And although not all of his achievements are known to the general public by now, nevertheless, each of them will sooner or later be judged as he deserves.

But not only one work lives Alexey Dyumin. The personal life of this statesman is also of interest to the public.

As mentioned above, as a child, Alexei Gennadevich was fond of hockey. Despite the fact that he chose a professional path for himself, not related to this sport, this hobby did not pass with age. He periodically takes part in hockey matches at an amateur level, usually acting as a goalkeeper. In particular, Dyumin takes part in the games of the Night League, established by Vladimir Putin in 2011, in which even the president himself sometimes speaks. In addition, Alexey Gennadievich is the chairman of the board of trustees of this league.

A family

It is time now to learn in detail who is part of the family of Alexei Dyumin. He himself speaks of family life extremely reluctantly, which, of course, is an imprint imposed by years of work in the special services. It is also entirely possible that this is a manifestation of unwillingness to involve the family in public life. Indeed, not every politician is ready to expose his relatives to additional danger, making them public figures. Nevertheless, it was possible to find a lot of interesting information about the family of Alexei Dyumin, although many facts remained hidden.

At this time, Gennady Dyumin became close to the Minister of Defense Pavel Grachev. To a large extent, it was Gennady Vasilyevich who contributed to the transfer of his son to work in the FSO, but further career advancement is already the personal merits of Alexei Dyumin. Gennady Vasilievich himself served as deputy chief of the Central Hospital. Since 2013, he became the head of the Main Military Medical Directorate. Has a general rank.

There is extremely scarce information about the mother of Alexei Dyumin. All that is known is that she was a professional teacher.
