Dubinin Alexey: biography

The future ballet dancer was born in 1965 on October 19 in the small town of Aleksandrov in the Vladimir region. From childhood, he was distinguished by plasticity and musicality. He took an active part in all morning performances, first in kindergarten, and then in school. From the third grade of school, his mother was enrolled in a dance club. Alexei’s father, Vladimir Dubinin, didn’t quite support his wife’s initiative, but he reconciled. After graduation, the son decided to go to the capital and enter the ballet department of the Moscow Art College. Father, of course, wanted his son to choose some more masculine profession, however, Alexey Dubinin was already very passionate about classical dances.

Repertoire

The choreographer and choreographer of the theater immediately noticed talent in the young man, and very soon solo parts began to be trusted in such performances as Swan Lake (Siegfried's part), Don Quixote (Basil), Bravo, Figaro (Almavira), “La Sylphide” (James) and others. Alexey Dubinin, a dancer, stood out not only for his outstanding professional data, but also for his appearance: a manly face with the right features, dark curls, a beautiful physique, magnificent proportions, and slender legs. Sometimes the impression was that the viewer was going to performances just to look at him. Further, it was he who was elected as the performer of the main part in the premiere performances of “Romeo and Juliet”, where he, naturally, played the role of Romeo, and in “Chopinian” (Youth Party), in “Evening Dances”. Soon he was appointed lead soloist of the theater.

Foreign career

Having served in the Stanislavsky Theater until 1991, he was invited to contract work at the San Carlos Theater in Lisbon. During his work here, new parties were added to his parties: Franz, Solor, Siegfried, Apollon and others. After the contract expired, Alexei entered into a new contract, now with the Bonn Opera and Ballet Theater. Among the parties of that period were Vershinin from Rachmaninov’s ballet “Three Sisters”, the protagonist of the performance to the music of Liszt “Death from Love”, the soloist of “Japanese Songs” F.
