The next picture, which was shot by a young director, was called "The Jester". For the average spectator to perceive, the tape was somewhat heavy, but close to everyone. The picture revealed the idea of ​​complex psychological deviations and social inequality. Thanks to her, the director fell under the first rays of fame. It was already a real feature film. The beginning of creative activity was quite successful, and Andrei Eshpay, the director, without hesitation, continued to do what he liked.

In 1990, he saw the light of his painting "Humiliated and Offended." The plot was based on the novel of Fyodor Dostoevsky with the same name. The film about a flowering hill in the middle of an empty field was a breakthrough in the technology of the turn of the century.
